It of course is a risk, as everything with no central authority. However, creating filters on topics/broadcasters can be an easy way to start fighting against it.

What's different between filters and a "censure"? If the censure is made good by the centralized network, it could be fine no?

I think the difference between filter and censor is that a filter is something where you personally get to choose what is hidden and can remove the filter at any time, while a censor is across the board, you don't get to choose what is deemed in need of filtering and you can't remove this forced filter unless the centralized network authority takes it down themselves.

(Edited because typo)

Mike did say exactly what I meant. By filters I was thinking about filtering what YOU don't want to see. So you choose. While censorship is decided by someone/thing that is not you (according to my personal definition)

So you show first what you do not want then you add the filter ?

Basically my main idea was:
You have access to anything that is being broadcasted through the different peers.
You see something that you don't want to see => Block it by a tag system, or block everything containing a specific word or block everything from this peer.
