Statistics have shown that 70% of small business websites often overlook adding a call of action in the form of a newsletters, demos or specials etc. on their home page, which minimizes user-content interaction. Two-thirds of users are drawn by interesting content and visually-appealing design aesthetic of the site. However, speed is the ultimate test for effectiveness of a web design since studies shows that 47% of users expect their page to load within 2 seconds or less. In this tech savvy world where smartphones are dominating, 85% of the site visitors expect for the mobile websites to be equivalent to or better than the desktop versions. The length of content is also imperative when it comes to generating traffic. It was found that sites with around 51-100 pages generated 48% more traffic than those with 1-50 pages.
