Tip: Windows comes with Windows PowerShell, and you can always install PowerShell (the multi-platform one, v7) and use its cmdlets (functions) as well as its default aliases that mirror Linux commands.

For example, to list the contents of a folder, you use Get-ChildItem or its alias ls.

Thank you for the advice. :-) I use powershell a lot. But in this particular case i had to do work in server with minimal rights and an old windows Version which didn't come with powershell.

Oh, sure! So many people think Windows still has only Cmd to offer, I tend to recommend PowerShell as much as I can XD

Rightfully so! Powershell can be a huge help. Because i like powershell so much, i poked a bit fun at the cmd with the crying in the shower GIF. 😊
