What certification options will you be able to obtain?

If before March 30 you have completed one of the challenges, you will be able to redeem an exam paper for one of the following official Microsoft certifications.

The certification exam will be conducted in English. The test will be available from April 7 to June 30, 2021.

AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: manage Azure governance and identities; implement and manage storage; deploy and manage Azure computing resources; configure and manage virtual networks; and monitor and back up Azure resources.

Candidates for this exam must have subject matter experience, implement, manage, and monitor an organization's Microsoft Azure environment.

Responsibilities for an Azure administrator include deploying, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, process, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, as well as provisioning, sizing, monitoring, and tuning resources, as required.

An Azure administrator often serves as part of a larger team dedicated to deploying your organization's cloud infrastructure.

A candidate for this exam should have at least six months of hands-on Azure management experience, plus a strong understanding of Azure core services, Azure workloads, security, and governance.

Additionally, this role must have experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure portal, and Azure Resource Manager templates.

DP-100: Design and Implement a Data Science Solution on Azure

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: configure an Azure Machine Learning workspace; run experiments and train models; optimize and manage models; and implement and consume models.

Azure data scientists apply their knowledge of data science and learning to implement and run machine learning workloads on Azure; in particular with Azure Machine Learning Service.

This involves planning and creating a suitable work environment for data science workloads in Azure, running data experiments and training predictive models, managing and optimizing models, and implementing machine learning models in production.

MS-700: Microsoft Team Management

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: planning and configuring a Microsoft Teams environment; manage chat, calls and meetings; and manage teams and application policies.

Microsoft Teams Administrator configures, deploys, and manages Office 365 workloads for Microsoft Teams that focuses on efficient and effective communication and collaboration in a business environment.

The Microsoft team manager must be able to plan, implement, and manage chats, apps, channels, meetings, audio conferences, live events, and team calls.

The Teams Administrator is also responsible for upgrading Skype for Business to Teams. Candidates for this exam should be proficient in handling Teams settings through the use of PowerShell.

The Teams Administrator has a fundamental understanding of integration points with applications and services, including but not limited to SharePoint Groups, OneDrive, Exchange, Azure AD, and Office 365. The Teams Administrator understands how to integrate external applications and services.

The Microsoft Teams Manager collaborates with telephony engineers to integrate advanced voice capabilities into Microsoft Teams. This role is not responsible for configuring routing, configuring call routing, or integrating telephony.

The Microsoft Team Manager can work with other workload manager functions, including security and compliance, messaging, networking, identity, and devices.

MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: design and implement Microsoft 365 services; manage user identity and roles; manage access and authentication; and planning Office 365 applications and workloads.

Candidates for this exam should have a basic understanding of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and related Microsoft Azure services. They perform Microsoft 365 tenant management tasks for a company, including their identities, security, compliance, and supporting technologies.

Candidates have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads and should have been administrators of at least one Microsoft 365 workload (Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Windows as a service)

Candidates also have a working knowledge of networking, server administration, and IT fundamentals such as DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell.

MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: implement modern device services; implement Microsoft 365 security and threat management; and manage Microsoft 365 compliance and control.

Candidates for this exam should have a basic understanding of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and related Microsoft Azure services. They perform Microsoft 365 tenant management tasks for a company, including their identities, security, compliance, and supporting technologies.

Candidates have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads and should have been administrators of at least one Microsoft 365 workload (Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Windows as a service). Candidates also have a working knowledge of networking, server administration, and IT fundamentals such as DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell.

DA-100: Data Analysis with Microsoft Power BI

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: prepare the data; model the data; visualize the data; analyze the data; and implement and maintain deliverables.

Data analysts enable companies to maximize the value of their data assets using Microsoft Power BI.

As subject matter experts, data analysts are responsible for designing and building scalable data models, cleansing and transforming data, and enabling advanced analytical capabilities that deliver significant business value through easy-to-understand data visualizations.

Data analysts also collaborate with key stakeholders in vertical markets to deliver relevant information based on identified business requirements.

The data analyst must have a fundamental understanding of data repositories and data processing both on premises and in the cloud.

SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: mitigate threats with Microsoft 365 Defender; mitigate threats with Azure Defender; and mitigate threats with Azure Sentinel.

The Microsoft Security Operations Analyst collaborates with the organization's stakeholders to protect the information technology systems for the organization.

Their goal is to reduce organizational risk by quickly remediating active attacks in the environment, advising on improvements in threat protection practices, and referring violations of organizational policies to the appropriate stakeholders.

Responsibilities include threat management, monitoring, and response by using a variety of security solutions in your environment.

The role primarily investigates, responds, and searches for threats using Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Microsoft 365 Defender, and third-party security products.

As the security operations analyst consumes the operational output of these tools, they are also a critical player in the configuration and deployment of these technologies.

SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Manager

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: implement an identity management solution; implement an authentication and access management solution; implement access management for applications; and planning and implementing an identity governance strategy.

Microsoft Identity and Access Manager designs, implements, and operates an organization's identity and access management systems using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).

They manage tasks such as providing secure authentication and authorization access to business applications. The administrator provides seamless experiences and self-service management capabilities for all users.

Adaptive access and governance are core elements of the role. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting for the identity and access environment.

The identity and access manager can be a single person or a member of a larger team.

This role collaborates with many other roles in the organization to drive strategic identity projects to modernize identity solutions, implement hybrid identity solutions, and implement identity governance.

SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Manager

This exam measures your ability to perform the following technical tasks: implement information protection; implement data loss prevention; and implement information governance.

The information protection manager plans and implements controls that meet organizational compliance needs.

This person is responsible for translating requirements and compliance controls into technical implementation. They help the organization's control owners to comply and maintain compliance.

They work with information technology (IT) personnel, business application owners, human resources, and legal stakeholders to implement technology that supports the policies and controls necessary to sufficiently address your organization's regulatory requirements.

They also work with compliance and security leadership such as a chief compliance officer and chief security officer to assess the full breadth of associated business risk and partner to develop those policies.

This person defines the applicable requirements and tests IT operations and processes against those policies and controls. They are responsible for creating policies and rules for content classification, data loss prevention, governance, and protection.
