I know, I know.. I went MIA for 3 weeks. I left a big cliff hanger there. Believe me, I felt bad not giving weekly updates of my progress but, it was
These past 3 weeks, I was using 100% of my brain power to complete my
So that leads to the question... What is my application?
I present you
Brow and Arrow.
Brow and Arrow is a versatile Client Management Application designed solely with the PMU artist in mind. Easily chart on clients, upload before and after photos and store consent forms in this all-in-one application.
So I came up with idea because when I was a Microbladist, I did not have a nice, all-in-one area to store my clients' information. I had their before and after photos on my phone, their chart notes on index cards, and their consent forms in paper folders. 3 places of data for 1 person is already hard to manage, but when you have multiple clients, it's a disaster.
I don't have this application live yet because I want to keep on working on it until it's perfect. (I know perfection is not ideal but if you're a developer, you know what I mean)
The Home page is simple and gives you two options:
- Get Started
When taking a screen shot of the Home page, I've already realized that I want to change the background image and set it on
Once logged in, you're taken to the Dashboard where you can:
- Add a New Client
- View Current Clients
- Email a list of Current Clients (I used
When viewing your current clients', there is a button called "View/Add Chart Notes" that takes you to the specific clients' chart. This is where you can:
And that's it in a nutshell! Seems so tiny when blogging about it, but it's only going to grow from there!
Thursday I presented my
Capstone via Zoom to my whole school and 6 employers. I was the 8th presenter out of 14. To say I was nervous is a total understatement. I usually don't get stage freight but my heart was beating in my eyes, LOL. But, during my presentation, I felt proud of my little application.
Yesterday was graduation. Ola Ayeni, the founder of Claim Academy, gave a really moving speech and afterwards I felt empowered. Not sure if anyone believes in auras, but I swear his was glowing like the sun!
I'm very happy with my decision to go to a coding bootcamp, especially Claim Academy. It was HARD, but so worth it. There's still so much to learn, but now I feel like I have the tools and I can do anything.
Thank you so much for reading my posts throughout the weeks. I can't wait to update you guys throughout the next steps. 💚.
