I'm a 40 years old marketer from Russia (but working only with US clients all my life), learning programming (again). I always wanted to code, but was side-tracked by marketing (although now I have all the time available to learn because of my marketing skills paid off well). I started learning to code in BASIC in 1986. We had a nice computer center with paid courses packed with Agat computers (Soviet Apple II clone). In the mid-90s I was experimenting with assembly language on x86 (286). In the late 90s I completely switched gears, started to make websites and participate in affiliate programs. I was programming a little last 20 years (some PHP here and there, HTML and CSS, but nothing serious). Now I'm re-inventing myself, learning Go and Flutter/Dart. In the last 2 years I've got some mobile dev experience helping friends make a backend and parts of the app in Swift. And that's all :-)
