FIDO2 as a service can be also implemented in API (passwordless.dev/) and OAuth (Identity Provider with FIDO2 support) styles.
OAuth is a more secure way in my opinion, and actually I'm trying to build it and promote - github.com/Fido2me/fido2me + a couple of articles here.
Maybe we can collaborate somehow, your articles are great BTW.
