Actually, I didn't analyze the market or make a deliberate decision 😅. I just wanted to learn some programming and found a free bootcamp that taught Java + Android, and then things kind of took off from there.
Later I realized, though, that a bigger market means more competition. So maybe it's even more beneficial to specialize in such smaller areas, while not going too deep into super niche technologies.
Or ... just don't care about such things and continue programming, because that's what you really like.
I guess the level of competition depends on the applicants to jobs ratio...
