Used to have the same problem but now I just brush it off and make a joke about being great. When someone says good job I reply with "Ya, I know, I'm great". I think this sends the right signal. I let the person know I accept their compliment but also that it's not that big a deal because part of the job is coming up with ideas to solve problems.
Not saying you should adopt the same strategy but I think confidently accepting compliments is a good skill to develop.
We actually tend to have something similar around our office and making a "joke" with a compliment
Always good when a personal take on an issue is actually not unique.
It's definitely worth trying, at least once, with the right coworkers. I may give it a try!
