Accessibility First DevRel. I focus on ensuring content created, events held and company assets are as accessible as possible, for as many people as possible.
Yeah I watched all of the W3C videos - the problem is they go “here is something you really should know about” then kind of stop short of explaining exactly how to fix it.
Tech enthusiast studying ICT and graduating soon enough👨🏿🎓. Software Engineer in the making, experimenting my way through life. I'm here to connect, learn from y'all and share my knowledge.👊🏿

I actually looked into it, you have to get a literary agent involved as the publishers of the "for dummies" series won't take direct / unsolicited ideas.
Maybe one to add to the 10 year plan at my side as it seems like a lot of hoop jumping 😂

I can't believe there isn't a Developer's Guide for JAWS. In other words "What the heck do I have to do to make JAWS say 'abc' when doing 'xyz'.
And when do these issues become bugs in screen readers instead potholes for developers? Why can't screen readers read icons added using CSS? If I can see them while inspecting the code, why can't JAWS read them? Why doesn't the screen reader tell the user a link goes to a new site or opens a new window?
For further actions, you may consider blocking this person and/or reporting abuse
We're a place where coders share, stay up-to-date and grow their careers.
