good write up, I would consider adding pub.dev/packages/shelf_letsencrypt under the "Shelf" heading, in case anyone was not aware of it.

Oh Dart. I've been meaning to try it for a while. Flutter's Hot-Reload is something I just can't ignore. Wish the JVM had that (and yeah I know DCEVM does that, but I mean natively in HotSpot)

Serverpod looks pretty neat! Has anyone used it with a non-Dart client? A quick scan of their docs didn't show anything like REST API support.

I think somebody also asked that question on some reddit thread and Viktor (the founder) explained that they use REST under the hood and are planning to make the documentation for it. I would say "Serverpod mini" has a big part in this.
