Font smoothing has been disabled in MacOS mojave. It is not pleasant.

If you use tools that rely on chromium (vscode, atom, hyper, etc.), the text might appear blurry or just be really thin after the Mojave update. This is because font smoothing has been disabled by default. To fix this, you should run this command in your terminal:

defaults write -g CGFontRenderingFontSmoothingDisabled -bool NO

Hope this helps!

Thanks! Have also noticed that after had been upgraded to Mojave. And have googled the same solution you'd proposed.
