re: Digital nomad lifestyle of remote web developer VIEW POST

FULL DISCUSSION

I had been doing freelancing as a remote developer for 2 years and there are some pros and cons which I can list below.

Pros:

  • Flexibility, we can work whenever and wherever we like.
  • Higher income compared to in-office position because the employers can cut-off much cost.

Cons:

  • Unstable workload, you can be kicked anytime, so always be prepared of the situation, there should be backup plans.
  • You have to manage all the things by your-self like communication, task management, health insurance, labor insurance, personal finance, paying co-working space cost...
  • Clients may refuse to pay you sometimes or cut-off your income by some reasons.

Let me know which one is missing from the list in your opinion.
