Thanks for explaining the stuff before posing the changes.
I needed a short crash course to recall Tmux which I haven't used in years.

I have now found a nifty new terminal (CRT " Cool Retro Terminal" and I wanted to use that one instead of Konsole or the other Gnome based terminals. These can split and have tabs, but having a good tmux config is usually more stable.

PLUS (Big plus here): It is possible to run commands on the open sessions, like for instance getting you to the correct subdir in your home, or start an iPython session, or just watever you are able to put into a bash script.

I am now building my .tmux.config and later I will write a few scripts for specialized and highly advanced stuff, like piping the output of my commands through cowsay.

I actually quite like Ctrl +B combo, I hit it with the pinky and thumb of my left hand. That I am not going to chance.
