Hi DEV 👋

I'm a network engineer who spends a lot of my free time building things.

Most of my projects start with a simple question:

"Could this work?"

Sometimes the answer is yes.

Sometimes I spend hours going in the completely wrong direction first.

And honestly, those failures are usually the most interesting part.

My interests are pretty broad, but you'll probably see me writing about things like:

Networking and infrastructure
Embedded systems
Wireless communication
Hardware and software prototypes
Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers
Security and reliability
Experiments that don't work the first time

I'm especially interested in taking ideas beyond a quick prototype — figuring out why they fail, making them more reliable, and seeing whether they could eventually become something people would actually use.

One of the projects I'm currently working on started as an attempt to move IP traffic over a low-bandwidth wireless link.

That didn't go quite the way I expected.

But the failure led me to a much more interesting idea: instead of trying to move an entire network connection, what if I only moved the data I actually needed?

I'll write about that project soon.

I created this account to document the process — not just the finished projects, but also the wrong turns, debugging sessions, design decisions, and lessons along the way.
