I built MarketPug to make fragmented stock research easier to navigate

Stock research often means jumping between a market heatmap, a news feed, a screener, charts, fundamental data, and a separate AI assistant.

I built MarketPug to test whether that workflow could feel more coherent.

 The product idea

The main principle is:

See the whole market. Let AI explain the moves.

MarketPug starts with a visual overview so users can identify hot and cold sectors, then move into individual stock analysis without losing context.

The current experience includes:

a visual market and sector overview

individual stock analysis

AI Q&A about market moves

news sentiment and fundamental signals

a chart-similarity quiz for learning recurring patterns

 The product-design challenge

The hardest part is not adding more data. It is deciding what information deserves attention first.

A finance interface can become overwhelming very quickly, so I am trying to balance three layers:

Orientation: What is happening across the market?

Investigation: What is happening to this particular stock?

Explanation: What factors might help explain the move?

 What I want to learn

I would appreciate direct feedback on these questions:

Can you understand the first screen without instructions?

Which analysis feels useful, and which feels like noise?

Does the AI explanation add context, or does it interrupt the research flow?

What would make you return the next day?

You can try it here:

Web: https://marketpug.com

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/marketpug-stock-analysis-ai/id6783217610

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jlabs.marketpug

I am the developer, and honest criticism is welcome. This is an analysis and learning tool, not financial advice.
