My name is Rodion, I’m a software developer from Ukraine. Today I want to share a unique feature of a privacy-focused messenger I am currently developing — Messagram. Our global public launch is targeted for June 2027, but I want to talk about the main technology we are building right now.

We have all been there: you are riding on a crowded bus, train, or subway, replying to a private message. Suddenly, you notice someone standing right next to you, staring directly at your phone screen.

Your private conversations and sensitive personal data are instantly compromised. Traditional apps like Telegram or WhatsApp offer no protection against this real-life privacy invasion.

🛡️ Our Solution: AI-Powered Anti-Peeping Blur

In Messagram, we are implementing a real-time defense mechanism. Using the smartphone's front-facing camera combined with optimized on-device face-tracking neural networks, the app intelligently monitors your immediate surroundings.

Here is how it works:

You are chatting normally in a public space.
The moment a stranger looks over your shoulder at your phone screen, BOOM — the entire Messagram interface instantly goes completely blurry.
The chat becomes impossible to read for the peeping stranger.
As soon as the unauthorized person looks away, the screen instantly clears up, letting you continue smoothly.

🛠️ The Architecture

To make this seamless, all AI face-tracking and gaze detection are processed strictly on-device. No camera feed or sensitive biometric data ever leaves the user's phone or gets sent to any cloud server. This ensures absolute processing speed and ultimate hardware-level privacy.

📅 Roadmap to June 2027

Building reliable, real-time computer vision models that work flawlessly in low-light public transport conditions takes time.

2026: Training specialized neural network models and optimizing core messenger backend.
Early 2027: Launching an open beta test to refine the anti-peeping shield in real-world scenarios.
June 2027: Full public release on iOS and Android.
