How a Startup Retiree Lost His Zoho Account

I’m a startup retiree (Yeah, that’s just how I feel right now). I had a Zoho account. These accounts are a rare commodity in Russia: creating a new one is nearly impossible due to sanctions — registration requires a phone number, and our country isn’t supported. Zoho’s products? Solid, reliable, and actually enjoyable to use.

Then things got messy.

 Step 1: Helping a Startup

I became an advisor for Sobixel, a fork of Solar 2D that Leo Ganin had been developing solo for four years.

I kindly offered my Zoho account to set up their corporate email. After configuring the domain:

Domain: sobixel.com

… I added Leo as an administrator with full rights. Easy.

Dev note: Never give anyone administrator rights equal to or higher than yours. It can push people toward illegal actions.

 Step 2: Conflict Happens

After a disagreement, Leonid decided the account was his. He removed my email — I got a notification with a screenshot.

Then came the full takeover:

New name → the one I came up with
Logo → designed by me
Website → developed by me
*Equity *→ 2.5% immediately + 2.5% vesting over a year → “forgot” to transfer

Classic startup drama.

Dev note: Treat IP, logos, and code like source control — ownership should be documented.

Step 3: Zoho Said “Not Our Problem”

Zoho support sided with Leo. Since the domain:

sobixel.com

… belongs to him, proving anything seemed impossible.

I still had login + password for the domain registrar in Chrome. I could have replicated the special Zoho settings, but… why bother? I’m law-abiding, not a hacker.

 Step 4: Enter the Police

One option remained: file a police report.

The plan (theoretical for now):

Police request data from *two ISPs *— mine and Leo’s (Zoho support emails include his IP).
Compare deletion timestamp + Leo’s online activity.

My ownership is backed by my sessions on Zoho services before the account was created (~Oct 5, 2025).

Legal context: starting Jan 1, 2026, Russian providers must store logs, metadata, and authorization info for three years. Previously, it was just one year.

If it goes to civil court, requests come from the court, not the police.

Step 5: Zoomers and Broken Red Flags

Leo is a classic Zoomer. This generation seems to have “broken red flags”:

They haven’t let go of their smartphones since childhood

They think the internet is a lawless sea

Reality check: there are sharks

I never planned to deal with this, but Leo stole too much of my time. The only way to set things straight is legal channels.

Police promised a response in two weeks — though their current plan is to contact Zoho, which is basically impossible.

Here’s who I mean.

 Lessons Learned

Digital ownership matters — especially when accounts tie to your personal contributions.
Trust but verify — handing full access to your account can have consequences.
Law > hacking — sometimes the legal route is the only way to reclaim what’s yours.

Here’s who I mean.

P.S. Rarely, “Big Brother is watching” can actually be useful. Who’s going to make Zoomers behave like gentlemen? Other than the magistrate’s court?

We've created a smartwatch powered by artificial intelligence that provides users with continuous health data.

How it Works

A volumetric pulse wave is a signal that can be used for non-invasive monitoring and forms the foundation of our technology for determining key health metrics.

The pulse wave is captured by sensors on the Acoofrisk smartwatch and transmitted in real-time to ARIA artificial intelligence for processing.

ARIA includes both a neural network (NN) and a semantic network (SN). The NN is responsible for learning from incoming data and generating personalized benchmarks for the user. The SN is a graph of health parameters, biological knowledge, interdisciplinary insights, and personalized recommendations.

Key Parameters Measured by the Watch

Currently, the watch measures over 100 different health parameters. It tracks major body systems and the user’s lifestyle factors, such as nutrition and diet, physical activity, and sleep. It also monitors mental health, fatigue levels, and the effects of medication.

Popular Measurements Include:

Glucose

Cholesterol

Hemoglobin

Arteriosclerosis

Uric Acid

Lactic Acid

Fatigue Level

Blood Pressure

Calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates

Non-invasive Glucometer

We've paid special attention to people with all types of diabetes. The watch includes a function for monitoring blood glucose levels, both automatically and in manual measurement modes.

The watch measures:

Fructosamine or glycated albumin

Health parameters related to hypoglycemia

Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)

Health parameters related to diabetes

Features of the Glucometer:

Automatic or manual monitoring mode

Measurement frequency as low as every 10 minutes

Customizable measurement intervals

Measurement accuracy to two decimal places

Predictions and Risk Assessment

The watch can evaluate disease risks and provide predictions based on these risks.

Heart: Myocarditis, myocardial hypoxia, ischemic heart disease
Brain: Cerebral infarction, aneurysm, cerebral arterial and venous malformation
Kidneys: Gout, glomerulonephritis, uremia, hyperuricemia, severe urinary tract infections
Lungs: Supportive diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Blood: Prediabetes and all types of diabetes

Getting Started

When using the watch for the first time, you need to sync it with a conventional glucometer. This should be done in the morning before breakfast. After that, enter your personal data and preferred measurement parameters (e.g., desired measurement intervals). Once this setup is complete, the watch is ready to use, and all measurement data will be displayed in the mobile app.

Features of the Watch

✓ SOS Button: The watch has an SOS feature to send messages to your loved ones in case of critical health measurements. You can connect up to 20 contacts.
✓ Continuous Measurement Mode: The watch can continuously measure your health data with a minimum interval of once every 10 minutes, or you can initiate on-demand measurements.
✓ Heart Rate Monitor: The watch strap features a safe, low-power optical chip that measures the user's pulse wave.
✓ Mobile App Integration: *All data is visible in the mobile app, and key metrics can be displayed on the watch face.
*✓ Battery Life:

Manual monitoring mode: 120 hours of battery life.

Automatic monitoring mode: 60 hours of battery life.

✓ Durability: The watch case is available in two versions: high-quality plastic and zirconium.

We’ll be covering more of the watch's features in upcoming posts.
