I built a resume diagnostic tool from scratch. Here's what I learned.
No internship, no work experience, no team.
So I built the tool I wished existed.

What I built it with:
React + TypeScript + Vite, custom rule-based analysis engines, GitHub API integration, jsPDF for exports.
What took the longest:
Building the skill ontology — mapping 116 canonical skills with variants so the engine actually recognizes "local LLM deployment" as a skill, not just "Python."
The honest result:
When I ran my own resume through it, I scored 51/100. The engine flagged missing quantified metrics, weak bullet specificity, and RAG as a skill gap. All accurate. Now I know exactly what to fix.
