Disclosure: I work on DalalOS, one of the four servers below, so weigh my view with that in mind. For each rival I list where it beats ours. I took vendor facts from their public pages on 27 October 2026; check the vendor before you rely on them. I keep the current version at https://dalalos.in/compare/best-indian-stock-mcp-servers

I compare four MCP servers here: Zerodha Kite, Groww, Dhan and DalalOS. Zerodha, Groww and Dhan connect to your own broker account. DalalOS is an independent research server for company data.

 The short version

To work with your own account, use your broker's MCP: Zerodha Kite, Groww or Dhan. Groww and Dhan can place orders; Zerodha's hosted server can't.

To read what a company filed (order books, results, disclosed events) with a source and date on each figure, use DalalOS. It gives no scores or verdicts.

You can connect more than one, since each covers a different job.

 At a glance (checked 27 October 2026)

Server

Run by and sign-in

Places orders?

Tools, as published

Free tier and price

Best for

DalalOS

Independent research service at
mcp.dalalos.in/mcp
. Browser sign-in (OAuth), or an API key. No broker account.

No. Its only write is adding or removing watchlist symbols.

59 current tools (live tool list, 27 Oct 2026)

Free monthly credits, no card. Plus and Pro plans at dalalos.in/pricing.

Company research from filings: order books, results, disclosed events, sourced ratios

Zerodha Kite MCP

Zerodha. Hosted at
mcp.kite.trade/mcp
with Kite login, or self-host the MIT-licensed server with your Kite Connect credentials. Needs a Zerodha account.

Hosted: no. Self-hosted: yes.

Zerodha publishes no total

Needs a Zerodha account; Zerodha lists any API charges.

Your own Zerodha holdings, positions, P&L and margins

Groww MCP

Groww. Hosted at
mcp.groww.in/mcp
. Needs a Groww account; Groww says it starts with Claude Pro users and will add Cursor and VS Code.

Yes. Groww requires DDPI authorisation for sell orders.

Groww's page gives no total

Needs a Groww account; see Groww for charges.

Your own Groww portfolio and F&O, open-ended technical analysis

Dhan MCP

Dhan. An official MCP on the DhanHQ APIs. You sign in with your Dhan client ID and access token.

Yes, and you confirm each order first.

Dhan publishes no total

Needs a Dhan account; see Dhan for charges.

Trading and account tasks from chat

 The DalalOS difference

DalalOS covers a narrower job than a market-wide platform. It sets what a company filed beside the numbers and dates every figure.

Filing facts.
get_filing_extract
pulls facts and a summary out of one BSE filing PDF. A request may queue processing and use part of a small daily allowance.

Order books and operating KPIs.
get_company_operating_metrics
returns the order book, order inflow and capacity a company disclosed over time. It marks missing fields as "not disclosed" and won't guess a current order book from a single new order.

Past filings and event context.
search_company_disclosures
searches a company's earlier filings, and
get_event_context
shows the position before an order or capacity event. Both return the source page and quote.

Results and disclosures.
get_upcoming_results
lists companies about to report.
get_brsr
returns BRSR sustainability disclosures as companies filed them with SEBI.

Raw figures, no verdicts. DalalOS computes ratios with fixed formulas and gives no scores, buy/sell calls or target prices.
get_data_freshness
tells you how recent each data set is.

 The others' strengths

Breadth. I don't claim a stock count for DalalOS. Test it on the companies you follow before you rely on it.

Your own account. The broker MCPs read your real holdings, positions and margins, and Groww, Dhan and a self-hosted Kite can place orders. DalalOS has no broker link.

Freshness. DalalOS prices are end-of-day. Broker servers may offer live data; their documentation says what they cover.

 Picking one

You trade on Zerodha: start with Zerodha's hosted Kite MCP, which can read but not trade. Self-host it if you want trading.

You use Groww, or want to trade from chat: Groww's MCP. You'll need DDPI authorisation to sell.

You trade on Dhan: Dhan's MCP, which asks you to confirm each order.

You want what a company filed, with sources: DalalOS. You can connect it in a few minutes through the ChatGPT plugin or in Claude.

 How I checked

On 27 October 2026 I read Zerodha's Kite MCP page and GitHub repo, Groww's MCP announcement and Dhan's MCP documentation. For Dhan I reused a July 2026 reading, so that entry carries less detail. I took the DalalOS count from the live server's tool list the same day: 61 entries, of which 59 are current tools, plus a connection check and one deprecated alias. If a vendor publishes no number, such as a tool total, I say so instead of estimating.

If you spot an error or a newer fact, tell me and I'll correct it. None of this is investment advice.
