I got tired of online tools uploading my data, so I built Kitloft (100% client-side)

Like many developers, I find myself regularly needing to format JSON, inspect JWTs, convert configuration formats, or manipulate documents during daily development.

What always bothered me about many existing online tools is privacy: you often have no idea where your clipboard data goes. Many utilities transmit your input to backend servers. When you're dealing with sensitive API keys, customer logs, or private tokens, that's a security and compliance nightmare.

To fix this, I created Kitloft.

 What makes Kitloft different?

100% Client-Side Execution: Every single tool runs locally in your browser using modern Web APIs and local libraries. Your files and text never touch a remote server.

Zero Friction: No sign-up walls, no accounts to manage, and no hidden subscriptions.

Privacy-First Sharing: Shareable configurations use URL hash fragments (
#
), which browsers never transmit over the network. Sensitive parameters are stripped automatically.

No Tracking Cookies: Analytics are strictly cookieless and privacy-respecting.

 Give it a spin

Check it out at https://kitloft.dev.

I would love to get your honest thoughts:

What tools are missing that you find yourself using every day?

How is the UI and speed on your machine?

Drop your feedback in the comments below!
