Hi everyone,

I recently joined a service-based company as a fresher and want to build a strong foundation in software development. I have basic knowledge of Java and some web development technologies, but I'm often confused about the right way to learn and progress.

For example, when I start a DSA topic like Arrays, how do I know when I've learned it well enough? How many problems should I solve before moving on to the next topic? How did you approach DSA when you were a beginner?

I'm also curious about projects. How do you come up with side project ideas that are worth putting on your resume? Did you build projects based on your interests, solve real problems, follow tutorials, or get ideas from somewhere else?

Another thing on my mind is that I would like to switch to a better role/company in the next couple of years. For those who started in service-based companies, what would you focus on during the early years? How did you balance office work, upskilling, DSA, development, and personal projects without burning out?

I'd love to hear about your experiences, mistakes, and what you would do differently if you were starting again today.

Thank you!
