&lt;p&gt;Most LLMs today are aligned using RLHF to be &lt;strong&gt;helpful, harmless, and honest&lt;/strong&gt;. While great for a chatbot, this is often &lt;strong&gt;detrimental to learning&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Why? Because human annotators tend to favor responses that are:&lt;/p&gt;
