**After two crash courses in HTML and CSS, my first assignment with DPI training was to make a Link-in-Bio page. During the lessons, everything made logical sense. I felt like, "I got this!" However, looking at the blank codespace was so daunting. I immediately forgot everything and had questions I was embarrassed to ask. I was so nervous about being able to do this. It is still a lot to process but I enjoyed all the guided support and the real hands-on project and tools that allowed me to experience and learn firsthand how to construct the project. I'm so impressed with myself and just grateful for the support.

The lesson is so well-designed. It facilitates the learning and application of HTML and CSS. I found myself getting unexpected results at times but I was able to review my work and find the bugs quickly! I recalled the many snippets of advice shared by the instructors, "I found myself making this common mistake so now I always..". I also stuck to the rules of building my memory muscle by typing the coding instead of the temptation to copy and paste.

It helped so much to visualize the structure of the languages HTML and CSS as they work together. I feel more confident in reading HTML and CSS knowing where to jump in and edit specific things like margins, colors, and fonts of elements.
I look forward to familiarizing myself with referring to common coding terms like tags, attributes, elements, and values by using them.

Lastly, I wanted to share that the community of developers sharing tools like gradient generators, web fonts, and GitHub codespace is amazing. I have created a bookmarks folder just for the helpful coding links and find myself getting better at naturally tidying up my files and tools. To more wins!
