How preparing for the ECPC turned into VoidHub

Omar and I started VoidHub while preparing for the ECPC. We enjoyed solving problems, but practicing alone could get repetitive. We wanted a way to challenge each other and make a regular practice session feel more like a contest.

The idea was simple: two friends, the same problems, and the same clock. You solve together, follow each other's progress, and see who gets Accepted first.

That became VoidHub.

Practice with someone, even from a distance

In a 1v1 match, you can choose a difficulty range and compete with a friend. For Codeforces problems, you can also choose the contest years you want to practice from.

It gives you a reason to stay with a problem a little longer. Someone else is working on it too, and you can see how the match is going as you solve.

A world of contests to practice

We also wanted to make CPC problems easier to find and practice. VoidHub's CPC Archive brings together regional and university contests from the Middle East and around the world, with statements, samples, topic filters, difficulty estimates, and a practice judge.

The problem library includes Codeforces, HackerRank, and OnlineJudge problems, alongside VoidHub problems and our own Originals.

For selected contests, Historical Virtual lets you replay the contest on its original clock. The original teams' results appear as time passes, so you can compare your progress with theirs instead of only looking at the final standings.

You can pick a problem for a short session, work through a full contest, or invite a friend for a match. That's what we wanted when we started: more ways to enjoy problem solving and keep practicing.

We're still building VoidHub alongside university. If you give it a try, we'd love to hear how your first session goes.
