Real-World Impact. </h3> <p>What if technology encouraged us to spend less time on screens and more time making a difference in the real world?</p> <p><strong>Leave-It-Better</strong> is an environmental action web application designed to turn good intentions into practical action.</p> <p>Sometimes, we want to help our surroundings but don't know what we can realistically do with the time and resources we have. Leave-It-Better aims to solve this by helping users find one practical environmental action based on their surroundings, available time, resources, and preferences.</p> <p>The experience follows four simple steps:</p> <ol> <li> <strong>Choose your situation:</strong> Select your environment, available time, materials, and preferred activity.</li> <li> <strong>Get an action:</strong> Receive a recommendation with clear instructions and safety guidance.</li> <li> <strong>Touch grass:</strong> Leave the screen and perform the action in the real world.</li> <li> <strong>Track your effort:</strong> Record completed actions and look back at your progress.</li> </ol> <p>Possible actions include reporting an overflowing bin, reducing single-use waste, caring for an existing plant with permission, or identifying an environmental problem that needs attention.</p> <p>The goal isn't to create another platform that keeps people scrolling.
