      <description>&lt;p&gt;Developers carefully plan the structure of an application, but many website owners publish content without planning the structure of their website.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That often creates:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Orphan pages&lt;br&gt;
Duplicate search intent&lt;br&gt;
Weak internal navigation&lt;br&gt;
Random anchor text&lt;br&gt;
Blog posts with no clear purpose&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A topic cluster provides a more organized approach.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Start with one pillar page covering the broader subject. Then create supporting pages that answer narrower questions. Connect those pages using contextual links based on what readers are likely to need next.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For example, a WordPress SEO pillar page might connect to focused guides about XML sitemaps, keyword research, schema markup, image optimization and internal linking.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The complete process involves more than grouping related keywords. You also need to map user intent, assign a clear role to every page and review the cluster regularly.&lt;/p&gt;
