Clockwise Shut Down: How to Move to Reclaim.ai (and How It Compares to Motion)

Clockwise, the AI calendar tool that protected Focus Time and moved meetings around for teams at companies like Uber, Netflix and Atlassian, stopped working on March 27, 2026. The Clockwise team joined Salesforce to work on Agentforce. Salesforce has said publicly that it did not acquire the Clockwise product or its technology, so the product didn't move anywhere. It's just gone.

If your calendar used to depend on Clockwise, you've probably noticed. Focus Time blocks are no longer defended, Flexible Meetings stay where they are, and old scheduling links are dead. This guide covers what happened, why Clockwise pointed its users to Reclaim.ai, how to migrate in under an hour, and when Motion might suit you better.

For a side-by-side table of all three tools, see the full Reclaim vs Motion vs Clockwise comparison.

 What Clockwise actually recommended

Clockwise's shutdown FAQ on getclockwise.com is direct about it. Clockwise says it partnered with Reclaim "to provide a smooth transition" and recommends moving scheduling links "immediately to another service, such as Reclaim."

Reclaim's help center describes what that partnership included. Paid Clockwise customers who sent in an invoice were offered price matching, there were daily onboarding webinars during March, and larger teams got priority setup help. These offers were built around the shutdown, so check reclaim.ai for what's still available before you rely on them.

Two facts from the Clockwise FAQ matter for migration:

Clockwise data was deleted after shutdown. If you didn't export your settings, you'll have to rebuild them by hand. It goes faster than you'd think.

Clockwise's "Smart Hold" events were removed from calendars. That covers Focus Time, Travel Time, Meeting Breaks and synced personal events.

Why Reclaim is the closest replacement

Clockwise and Reclaim were direct competitors for years, and their main ideas line up:

Clockwise feature

Reclaim equivalent

Focus Time

Focus Time + Habits

Flexible Meetings

Smart Meetings

Scheduling Links

Scheduling Links

Personal calendar sync

Calendar Sync

Meeting breaks / travel time

Buffers & Travel Time

Team analytics

People / Time Tracking analytics

Reclaim goes further in a few places. It also schedules tasks, including from integrations like Asana, Todoist, Linear, Jira and ClickUp. Recurring routines are handled as "Habits." Scheduling links can connect to CRMs through webhooks.

 Migration steps: Clockwise to Reclaim

1. Clean up leftovers. Search your calendar for leftover Clockwise events and recurring holds. Reclaim's FAQ also warns that Flexible Meetings someone else organized might keep showing up. Ask that organizer to remove Clockwise from the event.

2. Sign up with your work calendar. Reclaim works with Google Calendar and Outlook. Use your work account so the tool can see your real meeting load. There's a free plan to start with.

3. Set working hours and meeting hours first. Clockwise used these to decide where things could move. In Reclaim, they control where Focus Time, Habits and Smart Meetings can land. Start here before anything else.

4. Rebuild Focus Time. Pick a weekly target, for example 10 to 15 hours, and choose how strictly to defend it. Reclaim books flexible blocks that show as "free" while there's room and switch to "busy" as your week fills up, so the core Clockwise behavior is the same.

5. Turn recurring 1:1s and team syncs into Smart Meetings. This replaces Flexible Meetings. Reclaim finds the best slot for everyone and reschedules automatically when conflicts come up.

6. Replace scheduling links. Make new Reclaim Scheduling Links and update them everywhere the old Clockwise links lived: email signatures, docs, your website, and Slack profiles.

7. Add buffers and Calendar Sync. Turn on decompression time after meetings and travel time. If you use a personal calendar, connect it so personal events block work time without exposing details.

8. Roll out to the team. Reclaim's value grows when teammates join, because Smart Meetings can then work around everyone's Habits and Focus Time. Get one team running first, then expand.

You'll find a longer feature breakdown in our Reclaim review.

 What about Motion?

Motion (usemotion.com) is the other name that comes up all the time. It's a different kind of product. Clockwise was a calendar optimizer for teams. Motion is closer to an AI project and task manager that also schedules your day. It plans tasks against deadlines and rebuilds your schedule as priorities shift, and in recent years it has added AI features for docs, workflows and "AI employees."

A quick way to choose:

Pick Reclaim if what you miss is Clockwise itself: protected Focus Time, meetings that move on their own, team scheduling, and a calendar that keeps working with your existing task tools. It also has a free plan.

Pick Motion if you'd rather replace your task manager too and are fine moving project work into Motion. It suits people who want one opinionated system to plan the whole day.

On price, both tools change their plans fairly often. In general, Reclaim has a free tier and per-user paid plans that cost less than Motion's at the entry level. Motion, last we checked, focuses on paid plans with a trial and costs more per seat. Check reclaim.ai/pricing and usemotion.com/pricing for current numbers before you commit, especially for a team rollout.

 Bottom line

Clockwise is gone and its data was deleted, but rebuilding the setup takes about an hour. If you want the Clockwise experience back with as little change as possible, Reclaim is the tool Clockwise itself recommended, and the feature mapping is close to one-to-one. If you're ready to rethink how you plan work, Motion is worth a trial.

The full feature, pricing and use-case breakdown is in the Reclaim vs Motion vs Clockwise comparison.

Zenzap vs Slack for small teams: AI agents inside your work chat (2026)

Most small teams don't need another AI tool. They need the routine coordination that already happens in their group chat (who's covering the shift, did the invoice go out, which lead goes to whom) to stop landing on one manager's phone. In 2026 there are two broad ways to put AI agents into that chat: use a chat app where agents are built in, like Zenzap, or add agents to an established platform like Slack.

Here's how they compare for a small team.

 The short answer

Choose Zenzap if you're a small or frontline team that works on phones and wants AI agents built into the chat, with a free plan to start. Choose Slack if your team is desk-based and runs on lots of connected apps. If what you really want is a personal agent working across all your apps, look at Dots by OpenAI or Grok Bot rather than switching chat tools.

The full side-by-side, including Microsoft Teams, is in the Zenzap vs Slack vs Microsoft Teams comparison.

 How agents work in Zenzap

In Zenzap, agents are members of the chat. You create one, connect it to your work tools, and add it to a group, so people and agents work in the same thread. Asking an agent to do something feels like messaging a coworker.

Zenzap says a first agent takes about 90 seconds to create and that most teams launch one in under five minutes. Treat that as the vendor's claim. It advertises 400+ connectors, covering tools like your CRM, calendar, email and accounting software.

The example workflows show who it's built for:

a shift handover summary

an attendance check comparing the schedule with clock-ins

a schedule swap when someone can't make a shift

maintenance requests reported with a photo

invoice follow-ups and lead routing

Admins decide who can add agents, what each agent can access, which chats it can see, and whether it needs approval before acting. Zenzap states that customer data is never used to train AI models.

 How agents work in Slack

Slack treats agents as add-ons to an established platform. It supports AI features and agent apps, including Salesforce's Agentforce and third-party assistants. That's powerful when your data and workflows already live in Slack's very large app directory. The trade-off is cost: most of the AI sits on paid plans or add-ons, on top of per-user pricing.

 Pricing (hedged)

Plans change often, so check current pricing before you budget. At the time of writing:

Zenzap Free listed at $0, with AI agents, every feature, unlimited users and 100 AI credits a month, no card needed.

Zenzap Business+ listed at $50 total a month for up to 5 users, with 400 AI credits a month at that size; larger teams are priced by size.

Zenzap Lite (chat only, no agents) listed at $51 total a month for up to 20 users.

Slack prices per user, and its most capable AI features generally sit on higher tiers or paid add-ons.

Zenzap's flat price per team-size bracket is easier to predict for a small team than per-seat pricing plus AI add-ons. Note that 100 free credits a month is enough to evaluate, not to run many workflows.

 Weak spots to know about

Zenzap isn't a free win:

Smaller ecosystem. 400+ connectors covers common tools, but Slack's app directory is far larger. Check your must-haves first.

Mobile stability. The App Store rating is high, but some recent reviews report frequent crashes. Test on your team's real phones.

Phone verification. Signup requires verifying a phone number as well as an email address.

It replaces your chat. Zenzap's agents live inside Zenzap, so the team has to move its work chat there, which is a bigger change than adding a bot to Slack.

More detail is in the Zenzap review.

Other options: Dots by OpenAI and Grok Bot

Not every team needs agents inside group chat.

Dots by OpenAI, announced at OpenAI DevDay in September 2026, are always-on agents in ChatGPT, each with its own cloud computer and access to the apps you connect. OpenAI says you can reach your dot through ChatGPT, Slack or Teams. They're rolling out to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium users, with an Enterprise beta.

Grok Bot from SpaceXAI launched in beta in August 2026. Each Bot is an always-on agent with its own cloud computer that can sign into apps and websites, carry multi-step work through, and check in when it needs a decision. It's available through SuperGrok and paid Cursor plans.

Both are personal delegation tools that work across your apps, not team chats. If your real problem is that work is scattered across personal WhatsApp groups, they won't fix it; a chat-native tool like Zenzap will.

 Verdict

For a small or frontline team that lives on phones and wants agents handling routine coordination in the chat, Zenzap is the stronger fit, and the free plan makes it cheap to test. Slack remains the better choice for desk-based teams that depend on a deep app ecosystem. The quickest way to decide is to run your most repetitive chat-driven task in Zenzap's free plan for a week.
