Summaryr AI Powered Study tool

I created Summaryr.com because I was tired of studying long documents. ChatGPT could not help me to study smarter for example if I could upload my document and ask for interactive questions like MCQ, short answer or flashcards and get instead feedback without asking is this answer or incorrect. Therefore I created this project in November 2025 just to help me and other students at schools and universities. It is completely free and does not require credit card not like other websites. The another reason I created this website was when I searching for AI Powered study for free every of them said it is completely for free after registration they asked credit card. A student does not have money buy subscription to prepare for exam specially university students because their parents dont support them.

Features
It has so many features just to help students study better and memorize the key concept from the whole document or a part of selected text.
1-Flashcard generation
2-Question generation with multiple types
3-Summarisation
4-Explanation
5-Note taking
6-Realtime Collaboration
The interesting part is that you can scrape a web page just via its URL and boom the web page is scrapped and you can interact with the scrapped text just like you did with the documents text. You can print the scrapped the content and convert it to pdf.
Give it a try www.suummaryr.com

Hey everyone,After two intense months of late nights and way too much coffee, I’m beyond excited to share that Summaryr is now live on Product Hunt!→ https://www.producthunt.com/posts/summaryr (If you believe in making knowledge stick faster, I’d be eternally grateful for your upvote )
Why I built Summaryr I used to spend hours every week grinding through:40-page research papers
Never-ending client reports
Dense legal/contracts docs
Long YouTube lectures and podcasts

I’d highlight, take notes, then… forget 90% of it two days later. So I built the tool I wish existed: drop any document (PDF, Word, Notion page, webpage, or even YouTube video), and in seconds get:A crystal-clear summary (short or detailed)
Ready-to-review flashcards (Anki-ready export coming soon)
An auto-generated quiz to actually retain what you read

It’s like having a super-smart study buddy that reads everything for you and forces you to remember it.What you can do with Summaryr right nowUpload PDFs, DOCX, TXT, or paste any link
Summarize YouTube videos (just paste the link – full transcript processed)
Generate spaced-repetition flashcards instantly
Test yourself with adaptive quizzes
Everything works in 100+ languages

All for free while we’re in launch mode (no credit card, no limits for the first wave of users).Try it yourself→ www.summaryr.comDrag any file or paste a link and see the magic in <10 seconds.Special thanksThis wouldn’t have shipped nearly as fast (or look this good) without:OpenAI (obviously the brains)
Vercel (deploy in 3 clicks)
Supabase (auth + DB without headaches)
Tailwind (making me look like CSS again)

If you’re a student, researcher, consultant, founder, or just someone buried in information — I built this for you.Go try it, break it, roast it, love it — I want all the feedback. And if you can spare 3 seconds to support the launch on Product Hunt, it means the world:https://www.producthunt.com/posts/summaryrThank you!
Let’s make 2025 the year we actually remember what we read. – Ahmadullah Nekzad
🚀 Scrape the Web with Summaryr + AI-Powered Summaries, Flashcards, Question Generation & PDF Export!

The last few weeks I’ve been working on something exciting — a new workflow that lets me scrape any web page using Summaryr.com, then interact with that scraped content using a powerful AI toolset.

If you’ve ever wished you could take long articles, documentation pages, research posts, or blog entries and instantly turn them into summaries, study materials, or even formatted files… this is for you. 👇

⸻

🔍 Step 1: Scrape Any Website Using Summaryr.com

Summaryr.com lets you grab clean, structured content from any webpage. No messy HTML, no ads, no scripts — just raw text in a beautiful, uniform format.

I simply paste a URL, and Summaryr handles the scraping with surprising accuracy. Perfect for:
•Blog posts
•Documentation pages
•Tutorials
•Research papers
•News articles

⸻

🤖 Step 2: Interact with the Content Using an Advanced AI Toolkit

Once scraped, I can pass the content into an AI toolset I built — and this is where things get fun.

✨ What the AI can do:
Summarize in different styles (short, detailed, bullet points)
•Generate flashcards for study
•Create multiple-choice, true/false, and open-ended questions
•Extract key concepts, definitions, and examples
•Turn long-form content into actionable notes
•Rephrase complex content into simple explanations

This has been amazing for learning, coding tutorials, and deep-diving research quickly.

⸻

📄 Step 3: Convert Scraped Content into a PDF

One of my favorite features: I can instantly convert the scraped content (or the AI-processed content) into a clean, downloadable PDF.

Perfect for:
•Study packets
•Offline reading
•Course materials
•Client-ready documents
•Saving structured notes

The combination of scraping + AI → PDF has basically become my new personal content pipeline.

⸻

🧠 Why This Combo Is a Game-Changer

This workflow removes hours of manual copying, rewriting, and restructuring. With Summaryr + AI:
•No more copying text from messy websites
•No more reading long content just to create notes
•No more manually writing questions/flashcards
•No more formatting PDF documents yourself

It’s all automated, fast, and ridiculously convenient.

⸻

🛠️ What I’m Building Next

I’m planning to expand this into a full AI Study & Research Assistant, including:

•Automatic topic detection
•Citation extraction
•Batch scraping + batch question generation
•Export to DOCX/Markdown
•Browser extensions for one-click scrape → summarize

If this sounds useful, let me know — I might open-source portions of it.

⸻

💬 Want to Try It Yourself?

All you need is:
•A scraped URL from Summaryr.com
•Any AI model/API (OpenAI’s API works great)
•A simple script or UI to process and export the results

If you want the code samples, I can share them too.

⸻

Thanks for reading! If you’re into automation, AI tools, or building smarter workflows, feel free to follow along or ask questions. 🚀🔥

⸻
