Introduction

OpsSentry AI is an intelligent incident monitoring system designed to help users understand and manage operational incidents with the support of AI and long-term memory.

My primary contribution to the project was the complete frontend development. I designed and developed the user interface, dashboard, navigation, reusable components, and the user-facing experience for interacting with the AI and Hindsight memory features.

Frontend Development

The frontend was built to provide a simple and interactive interface for the OpsSentry system.

My work included:

Designing the main dashboard and application interface

Developing reusable UI components

Implementing navigation and different application pages

Creating incident monitoring and interaction interfaces

Connecting the frontend with backend APIs

Displaying AI-generated responses and relevant context

Building the user-facing experience for Hindsight memory

The component-based structure makes the interface easier to maintain and extend.

Hindsight Memory

OpsSentry AI uses Hindsight to provide long-term memory capabilities.

Two important operations are:

Retain – stores useful information from interactions so it can be used later.

Recall – retrieves relevant information from previously stored memory when required.

From the frontend side, I focused on creating the interface through which users can interact with and view the information produced by these memory operations.

Memory Flow

User
↓
OpsSentry Frontend
↓
Backend API
↓
Hindsight Recall
↓
Relevant Context
↓
AI Response
↓
Frontend Display

Information from useful interactions can also be retained for future recall.

Before vs After Memory

Without memory:

Current Incident → AI → Response

With Hindsight:

Current Incident
↓
Hindsight Recall
↓
Previous Relevant Context
↓
AI → Context-Aware Response

This allows the system to use relevant historical information along with the current incident.

Frontend Architecture

The overall application follows a frontend-to-backend workflow:

User
↓
Frontend UI
↓
API Request
↓
Backend + AI + Hindsight
↓
API Response
↓
Frontend UI

This separation allows the frontend to focus on user interaction and presentation while the backend manages processing and memory operations.

Key Takeaways

Working on the complete frontend of OpsSentry AI gave me practical experience in building an interface for an AI-powered application and connecting it with backend services and long-term memory.

The project helped me understand how frontend development, AI, APIs, and memory systems like Hindsight can work together to create a context-aware application.

Conclusion

The OpsSentry frontend provides the user-facing layer of the system, making incident information, AI responses, and Hindsight-powered context accessible through a single interface.

Building the complete frontend was a valuable experience in designing and developing a modern AI application from a user-experience perspective._
