The doctor's office is where period trackers break

Every period tracker I've opened has the same weak moment: the doctor's office.

They ask when your last period started. You open the app, scroll, find the calendar, work out which row of dots was a period and which was a prediction. They ask about flow. You scroll back again. Somewhere in there the nurse is waiting and you're screenshotting a calendar.

So Monthly Rose ends each cycle with one page. Cycle length, period dates, the symptoms you logged, wrist temperature and resting heart rate if you wear a Watch, and a blank line for whatever you want to raise. It's not a diagnosis. It's what you'd have said if you'd had three months of notes in front of you.

Two decisions sit behind it. Predictions are a range, not one confident date, so an irregular cycle doesn't get smoothed into a lie. And every reminder names the rule it fired on, so turning one off is a decision instead of a reflex.

Rosie, an AI companion, is in the app for the rough days. Not a medical service.

Free 7-day trial, then $5.99/month. Plus is optional.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/monthly-rose-period-tracker/id6816627178
We shipped a period tracker without accounts, ads or analytics. The tradeoffs are real.

Monthly Rose went live on 7 October. No account system, no ad or analytics SDKs, no shop inside it. All the logging works offline, and if you turn on Apple Health it syncs both ways.

That sounds like a clean win. It isn't free. No accounts means no cross-device push campaign, no "you logged late this month" nudge, no funnel to stare at when the numbers dip. If someone's notifications go quiet, I find out when they email me — or don't.

What's left is the unglamorous stuff. Cycle predictions are a most-likely day plus a range instead of one confident date, because irregular cycles exist and pretending otherwise is how you get people to distrust the whole app. Reminders say which rule fired, so turning one off is a decision instead of a shrug. And at the end of each cycle there's a one-page summary, mostly because the alternative was screenshotting five screens in a doctor's waiting room.

Rosie is an AI companion inside the app for the days that are rough. It's not a medical service and it doesn't diagnose anything.

Free 7-day trial, then $5.99/month. Plus is optional.
