Monthly Rose is a period, TTC, pregnancy and postpartum tracker for iPhone and Android. No ads, no pop-ups, and Rosie, an AI companion, for the harder days.

I'm aiya, and I build apps on my own. Monthly Rose is my period tracker for iPhone and Android, and before you scroll past, here are the links, since that's probably what you came for:

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/monthly-rose-period-tracker/id6816627178
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.iyunci.yueji.gp

There are already a lot of period trackers. I know. So the honest question is why make another one.

Mostly it came down to noise. A lot of apps in this space feel busy. Banners, pop-ups, a quiz before you can log anything, a feed you didn't ask for. When you open a tracker you usually want to do one small thing: mark that your period started, or note cramps, or check when the next one is likely. I wanted an app where that one small thing is the whole screen. Monthly Rose has no ads and no pop-ups. That part wasn't hard to decide.

The other thing was that life doesn't stay in one mode. Someone might track periods for years, then start trying to conceive, then be pregnant, then be postpartum and slowly find their way back to a cycle. It's easy to end up switching apps at each step, or keeping one app and ignoring half of it. So Monthly Rose has four modes: period, trying to conceive, pregnancy and postpartum. You can switch whenever you want.

Here's what it actually does, without the marketing gloss.

You log your period, symptoms and mood, and the calendar shows predictions for your next period and fertile window. Predictions are estimates, and the app says so. Reminders go off at times you pick. If you use ovulation test strips, you can take a photo or choose one from your gallery, the app reads the result, and nothing is saved until you confirm it. In pregnancy mode you get your pregnancy week and due date, plus a kick counter and a contraction timer from week 28.

Before a doctor's visit, you can make a one-page A4 summary as a PDF, or copy it as text. There's a version for prenatal visits too. And if you ever want your data out, you can export all of it as JSON or CSV.

Then there's Rosie. Rosie is an AI companion inside the app. Some days you don't want a chart, you want to say "I feel awful and I don't know why" to something that will answer. With your permission, Rosie sees a de-identified summary of what you've logged, like today's mood and where you are in your cycle, so her replies fit how you're actually doing. You can chat with her without signing in, after you agree to the AI data consent. I want to be clear about one thing, though: Rosie is an AI, not a person, and she doesn't replace professional help. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor or a mental health professional.

There's also a community where you can read posts from people at the same stage. Reading needs no sign-in. To like, post or comment, you sign in and set up a community profile.

On watches: there's a Wear OS app for Android, where you can check your status and log. On iPhone there's an Apple Watch app for logging your period start, symptoms and mood, counting kicks, and doing pelvic floor exercises after birth. iPhone users can also sync with Apple Health. The iOS version needs iOS 26 or later.

A few words on privacy, because people reasonably ask. No sign-up needed to log or to start your 7-day free trial. You'll sign in when you subscribe, and encrypted cloud backup is turned on automatically when you do. The app has no third-party ad or analytics SDKs. Crash reports go only to our own servers, and you can turn them off. You can delete all of your data in the app, including your cloud backup and your Rosie conversations on our servers.

Now the money part, plainly. 7-day free trial, no payment needed to start. Then $5.99/month for Basic, auto-renews, cancel anytime in your App Store / Google Play subscriptions. During the trial you get all Basic features. Plus is a separate upgrade on top of Basic that gives you more time with Rosie, and it isn't part of the trial. Prices may vary by region, and the store shows the exact price before you pay.

I'd rather tell you the price up front than have you find out on day eight.

If you try it, I'd honestly like to hear what feels off. Small things, like a button in the wrong place, are exactly what I can fix quickly. Thanks for reading this far.
