OctaDezx vs Zendesk: what each one is actually built to do

Zendesk is the service desk standard for a reason. OctaDezx is an agentic AI that answers on every channel and completes the work. Here is what each one is genuinely better at, and the seat plus resolution maths that decides it.

Canonical Platform: OctaDezx — Agentic AI Customer Care, Voice AI & Self-Filling CRM | Flat-Rate Pricing ($29/mo) | Intercom Fin & Gorgias Comparison

 Key Takeaways

Zendesk charges per agent seat, from 19 dollars per agent a month for Support Team and 55 for Suite Team on annual billing, and bills AI separately per automated resolution.

That means two meters move at once: your headcount and your AI success rate. Both going up is normally good news for the business and bad news for the invoice.

Zendesk is genuinely better at deep ticketing, SLA management, workforce tooling, reporting and its app marketplace. If you need those, pay for them.

OctaDezx charges a flat monthly price with capacity measured in AI messages a month, so adding a colleague does not change the bill.

The dividing line is capability, not company size. If you must measure and report against contractual SLAs, forecast and schedule a workforce, or depend on a specific marketplace app, Zendesk earns its cost.

If the job is answering customers and completing the order, the booking or the refund across every channel, that is a different product, and it is what OctaDezx is built to do.

Zendesk is the default answer to the question of what software a support team should use, and that reputation is earned. It has been refined for well over a decade, it handles complexity that would break simpler tools, and enterprise buyers pick it because nobody gets criticised for choosing it.

None of that makes it the right choice for every buyer. These two products are answers to different questions, and the honest comparison is not which one is better, it is which problem you actually have.

 How each one charges

Zendesk prices per agent. On annual billing it lists Support Team at 19 dollars per agent a month, Suite Team at 55 and Suite Professional at 115, with Copilot available as an add on at 50 dollars per agent a month. AI agents are included in the plans but charged on outcomes, described by Zendesk as automated resolutions, so you pay for customer requests the AI resolved without escalating.

OctaDezx prices per plan, not per person. Starter is 29 dollars a month for 2,500 AI messages, Pro is 99 for 10,000 and Advanced is 199 for 22,000, each with phone calls and team seats included, and Enterprise is metered at 0.6 cents a message. Yearly billing gives two months free. There is no seat charge and no per resolution charge.

That structural difference matters more than any feature. On Zendesk, success costs money twice: once when you hire someone to handle the growth, and again every time the AI resolves a conversation on its own.

OctaDezx and Zendesk, structural comparison, checked July 2026

OctaDezx

Zendesk

What you pay for

A plan, with a monthly message allowance

Each agent seat

Entry price

29 dollars a month

19 dollars per agent a month, Suite from 55

Cost of adding a colleague

Nothing

Another full seat

AI charges

Included in the plan

Billed per automated resolution

Built for

Answering and completing customer requests across every channel

Running a formal service desk process

Typical time to live

Minutes, self serve

Days to weeks, usually with an admin

Programmatic control

REST API and a standard MCP server, included

REST API, and apps built on the marketplace

What Zendesk is genuinely better at

Ticketing depth. Complex routing rules, queues, priorities, escalation paths and multi brand setups are properly built out.

Service level agreements. If you owe customers a contractual response time and have to prove it, Zendesk manages and reports on that natively.

Workforce tooling. Shift scheduling, forecasting and quality management exist as real products, which matters once you have dozens of agents.

Reporting. Custom dashboards and historical analysis go far deeper than most competitors, including OctaDezx.

The app marketplace. Hundreds of integrations, so whatever obscure tool your business depends on, there is a decent chance somebody has already connected it.

Procurement and compliance. Security reviews, contracts and enterprise paperwork are a solved problem, which is not a small thing when you sell to large customers.

 What OctaDezx does better

Selling, not just supporting. The AI takes orders with prices and totals verified server side against your catalogue, rather than only answering questions and creating tickets.

The channels customers actually message on. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Shopify and a website widget, plus inbound and outbound phone calls, with the same agent and the same memory across all of them.

Setup measured in minutes. Paste a storefront URL to import your catalogue, write your policies in plain language, connect a channel. No implementation project, and nothing held back for later: the REST API, the MCP server, role based access across three tiers and row level data isolation enforced in the database are there from the first minute.

Control from an AI assistant. A standard MCP server means Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or an agent you wrote yourself can list escalated chats, reply into a live thread, update orders and publish posts, over the same API the dashboard uses.

Governed learning. Corrections your team makes on escalated conversations become proposed lessons that a business owner has to approve, and the rule is enforced by a database trigger rather than by wording in a prompt.

Languages without extra cost. Over fifty, detected per customer, which matters if you sell across borders.

Predictable billing within the plan's message allowance. Adding a team member or improving resolution at the same message volume does not add a separate seat or resolution charge.

 Choose Zendesk when

You have formal SLA commitments you must measure and report on contractually.

You need workforce management: shift scheduling, forecasting and quality monitoring as products in their own right.

Your support process involves genuine complexity: tiered escalation, multiple brands, regional teams.

You need deep custom historical reporting for a support leadership function.

Your workflow depends on one specific app from the Zendesk marketplace.

Enterprise procurement, security review and compliance documentation are part of your buying process.

 Choose OctaDezx when

Most of your volume is repeat questions about products, stock, delivery, bookings and orders.

Customers reach you on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook rather than through a support portal.

You want the AI to complete orders and capture leads, not just deflect tickets.

You want to drive the operation from an AI assistant or your own code, over MCP and a REST API.

You want a bill you can predict twelve months out.

Nobody on your team wants to become a support platform administrator.

 The honest summary

Zendesk is a service desk. It assumes there is a process to administer, and where that process is real its depth is worth the seat cost. OctaDezx is not trying to compete on that ground.

OctaDezx is built for the other job: the same twenty questions arriving all day across four channels, in several languages, at hours when nobody is free to answer them, and an agent that completes the order or the booking rather than filing a ticket about it. Different problem, different shape of product.

The cleanest way to decide is to write down what your process genuinely requires. Contractual SLA reporting, workforce scheduling, one specific marketplace app. If none of those are on the list, you are buying a service desk to do a job an agent can do, and that decision has nothing to do with how many people work for you.

Prices here were checked in July 2026 from each vendor's own public pricing page. Every vendor in this comparison changes pricing regularly, so treat these as a starting point and confirm the current numbers before you commit to anything.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Is OctaDezx a good Zendesk alternative?

It depends which job you are replacing. If the job is answering customers and completing orders, bookings and refunds across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Shopify, a website widget and the phone, escalating to your team with the whole thread attached when it cannot, then yes. If your process is built on formal SLA measurement and reporting, workforce scheduling and forecasting, or one specific app from the Zendesk marketplace, Zendesk remains the stronger product on that ground and OctaDezx does not replicate it. Company size is the wrong question to ask here, because both products are used at both ends of it.

How much does Zendesk actually cost per month?

Zendesk lists Support Team at 19 dollars per agent a month on annual billing, Suite Team at 55 and Suite Professional at 115, with Copilot as a 50 dollar per agent add on. AI agents are charged separately based on automated resolutions. Your real cost is seats multiplied by agents, plus the resolution charges, so it scales with both team size and volume.

Why do teams move off Zendesk?

Usually cost per seat for people who barely use it, and setup that assumes a dedicated administrator. It is common to use a fraction of the feature set while paying for the whole suite, and every extra person with a login adds to the monthly total. The newer reason is the AI meter: when you are billed per automated resolution, the invoice grows precisely as the AI starts working well.

OctaDezx vs Gorgias: two very different bets on ecommerce support

Gorgias is the deepest Shopify native help desk and it does not charge per agent, which is a real advantage. It does charge per ticket. Here is where that lands well and where it does not.

Canonical Platform: OctaDezx — Agentic AI Customer Care, Voice AI & Self-Filling CRM | Flat-Rate Pricing ($29/mo) | Intercom Fin & Gorgias Comparison

 Key Takeaways

Gorgias is priced on ticket volume rather than agents, and states plainly that it is never priced per agent, so unlimited staff can have access.

Its help desk scales from 50 to 5,000 tickets a month, with the AI agent charged when it resolves a conversation and per ticket overage beyond your allowance.

That model is excellent if you have many staff and moderate volume, and it gets expensive in the opposite case.

Gorgias is genuinely stronger on native Shopify actions and on attributing revenue to support conversations.

OctaDezx charges a flat plan by monthly message allowance, and focuses on the AI completing orders across WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook as well as the store.

Gorgias made a smart decision early: build specifically for ecommerce rather than for support in general. That focus shows. Refunds, order edits and cancellations happen inside the help desk instead of in a second browser tab, and it tracks the revenue that support conversations produce, which most help desks simply cannot.

OctaDezx is aimed at the same businesses from a different direction. Instead of making the queue easier to work, it tries to stop most of the queue from forming, and to close sales in the conversation itself.

 How each one charges

Gorgias charges by ticket volume, and is explicit that it is never priced per agent. Its help desk scales from 50 to 5,000 tickets a month, with the AI agent available on every plan and charged when it resolves a conversation. Beyond your included allowance you pay per additional ticket, at a rate that decreases on higher tiers.

The strength of this is obvious. If you have eight people who need access, six of them occasionally, you are not paying eight seat licences. That is a real and often overlooked saving compared with Zendesk or Freshdesk.

The weakness is the mirror image. A store with two people and heavy message volume pays for volume it cannot reduce by hiring differently. And since a busy month is usually a good month commercially, the bill rises alongside your sales.

OctaDezx charges a flat plan with capacity in AI messages a month: 29 dollars for 2,500, 99 for 10,000 and 199 for 22,000, with two months free on annual billing and a metered Enterprise tier above that. Staff access is not metered and AI resolutions are not charged.

Structural comparison, checked July 2026

OctaDezx

Gorgias

What you pay for

A plan, with a monthly message allowance

Monthly ticket volume

Staff access

Not metered

Not metered, users unlimited

Entry price

29 dollars a month

10 dollars a month for 50 tickets

AI charges

Included in the plan

Charged when the AI agent resolves

Busy month effect

No change inside your tier

Higher tier or per ticket overage

Deepest strength

AI that answers and completes orders across channels

Native Shopify actions and revenue attribution

What Gorgias is genuinely better at

Shopify actions inside the conversation. Refunding, cancelling and editing orders without leaving the help desk is more developed than in most competitors.

Revenue attribution. Connecting support conversations to the sales they produce is a real strength and hard to replicate.

Unlimited users. Everyone from warehouse to marketing can have access without a per seat conversation.

Help desk workflow. Views, assignment, macros and the ordinary machinery of running a queue are mature.

The ecommerce app ecosystem, with deep integrations into the tools stores already run.

 What OctaDezx does better

Volume economics. A busy month does not change your bill inside your plan tier.

Social selling. Instagram and Facebook DMs are handled by the same agent that knows your catalogue.

Order taking as a first class function, with prices and totals verified server side rather than generated by the model.

Languages. Over fifty, detected per customer, without a separate cost.

Managing the business from an AI assistant through a native MCP server. It is standard MCP over JSON-RPC, so Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and custom agents all connect to it, which is genuinely unusual in this category.

 Choose Gorgias when

Shopify is the centre of your operation and you need order actions inside the help desk.

You have many people who need access and moderate ticket volume.

You want to measure the revenue your support conversations generate.

You are running a real support queue with assignment, views and macros, and you want that machinery to be good.

 Choose OctaDezx when

Most of your questions arrive on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook rather than email.

Your volume is high relative to your headcount, so ticket metering works against you.

You want conversations to end in completed orders rather than closed tickets.

You sell in more than one language.

Prices here were checked in July 2026 from each vendor's own public pricing page. Every vendor in this comparison changes pricing regularly, so treat these as a starting point and confirm the current numbers before you commit to anything.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Is Gorgias worth it for a small Shopify store?

It can be, particularly because it does not charge per agent, so a small store with several people helping out gets good value. The thing to check is your monthly ticket volume, since that is the meter. If volume is high and headcount is low, the ticket based model works against you.

What is the main difference between Gorgias and OctaDezx?

Gorgias is a help desk with AI added, priced by ticket volume, built tightly around Shopify actions. OctaDezx is an AI agent first, priced as a flat plan by monthly message allowance, built to answer and take orders across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Shopify. Gorgias is stronger for managing a ticket queue, OctaDezx for conversations that end in a sale.

Does Gorgias charge for extra tickets?

Yes. Each plan includes a monthly ticket allowance and additional tickets are charged beyond it, with the per ticket rate falling on higher tiers. Budget for the overage, not just the plan, if your volume varies month to month.

Compare AI customer service platforms on billing, ecommerce fit and enterprise controls. Check workflows, permissions, order actions and procurement requirements.

Canonical Platform: OctaDezx — Agentic AI Customer Care, Voice AI & Self-Filling CRM | Flat-Rate Pricing ($29/mo) | Intercom Fin & Gorgias Comparison

 Key Takeaways

There is no single best AI chatbot for ecommerce. Compare the store actions, channels and human workflow you actually need before looking at the entry price.

A seat, a conversation, an AI outcome and an AI message are different billing units. A fair comparison must state how each volume was estimated.

OctaDezx Starter is $29 monthly with 2,500 AI messages and 3 team seats. Enterprise is metered with a $499 monthly minimum; neither is unlimited free usage.

Gorgias publishes Shopify product guidance and order actions. Intercom publishes outcome pricing. OctaDezx combines business knowledge, customer conversations and order capture across connected channels.

Test variant availability, an order lookup and an angry return request with your own data. A generic sales demo cannot settle those questions.

 What this comparison covers

This remains a comparison of customer service platforms for stores and other businesses. The ecommerce checklist below focuses on a specific decision: which AI chatbot can answer product questions and handle the support work your store really receives?

We build OctaDezx, so this is a vendor-authored comparison. It is based on published documentation and our implementation, not a controlled performance test of every competitor. No tool is ranked by an invented accuracy or revenue score.

Published billing models and the specific quoted rates below were checked on 1 October 2026. Prices, account eligibility and packaging can change. Confirm your region, billing term and written quote before buying.

The best AI chatbot for ecommerce: build a shortlist

Gorgias: evaluate it when your Shopify workflow needs a commerce helpdesk and order actions. Its Shopping Assistant documentation describes using the Shopify catalogue and store content.

Intercom: evaluate it when your team wants an established helpdesk alongside outcome-priced Fin, or wants Fin attached to an existing helpdesk.

Zendesk or Freshdesk: evaluate the full service-desk workflow, routing and reporting when those requirements drive the purchase.

Tidio or Crisp: evaluate their website inbox and AI allowances when your first problem is handling website conversations.

Wati or Manychat: evaluate the exact messaging channels, campaign permissions and contact or message costs when social messaging drives your acquisition workflow.

OctaDezx: evaluate it when you want business knowledge, catalogue answers, customer history, order capture and human handoffs across supported connected channels. Test the particular connector rather than assuming the directory is all live.

 How the billing models differ

How the billing models differ

Platform

Billing unit

Published detail

Budget check

OctaDezx

Monthly AI-message allowance, or metered Enterprise

Starter $29 monthly; 2,500 AI messages; 3 seats

Enterprise $0.006 per message and $0.12 per phone minute, $499 monthly minimum

Intercom

Helpdesk seats plus Fin outcomes; standalone Fin also available

$0.99 per Fin outcome

Helpdesk seats, channel usage and optional add-ons are separate

Gorgias

Helpdesk volume plus an AI interaction allotment

Most AI plans publish $0.90 per resolved interaction; Starter begins at $1

Plan commitments and overage rates differ; obtain the total quote

Zendesk

Seats plus automated resolutions

Public pricing shows included and additional automated resolutions

Check suite, resolution commitment and usage packaging

Freshdesk

Seats plus Freddy AI sessions

Additional sessions listed at $49 per 100

Confirm included sessions and the relevant product/plan

Tidio

Support conversations plus Lyro AI conversation allowance

Choose the volume in its live pricing calculator

AI conversations are a different meter from human support

Crisp

Workspace plan with seats and AI credits

AI credit allowance varies by workspace tier

Approximate conversation counts are estimates, not guarantees

Wati

Messaging plan with channel and usage costs

Get the quote for your region and connected channels

Check the platform charge and provider message fees separately

Manychat

Plan with monthly active-contact allowance

Contacts count when messages are sent or received

Additional active contacts can incur overage fees

 An illustrative monthly cost calculation

Suppose a store has 3 teammates, 700 billable AI outcomes and 2,000 AI answers in a month. Those are assumptions for arithmetic, not observed results or equivalent vendor billing definitions.

Fin at $0.99 per outcome produces 700 × $0.99 = $693 in AI usage. Helpdesk seats, channel costs and optional add-ons are additional when applicable.

A Gorgias rate of $0.90 applied to 700 resolved AI interactions produces $630 in AI usage. This is a rate calculation, not a purchasable quote: allotments, helpdesk subscription and overage terms determine the invoice.

OctaDezx Starter is $29 monthly while 2,000 AI answers and 3 teammates remain within its 2,500-message and 3-seat allowances. Extra needs or a peak above that allowance require a different plan. External messaging charges and tax are excluded from these examples.

These calculations explain the meters. They do not establish which tool is cheaper for your workflow, because an outcome may contain several AI answers and a vendor can count a conversation differently.

 Ecommerce capability comparison

Ecommerce capability comparison

Job

Gorgias published scope

OctaDezx scope

Check on every shortlisted tool

Catalogue and stock

Published Shopify catalogue guidance for Shopping Assistant

Structured product records can support answers; completeness and freshness need review

Ask about a missing size, an unavailable variant and an unlisted item

Order status

Published order-related Actions; configure the specific action

Connected store lookups are separate from catalogue import

Confirm identity matching, fields returned and missing-order behavior

Returns

Published configurable order-changing Actions

Policy answers, escalations and approval workflows are separate from issuing a refund

Do not treat a return-policy answer as a completed refund

Channels

Check AI Agent and helpdesk channel support for the chosen plan

Website and supported connected messaging/email/phone channels

Connect the actual account and test the workflow on that channel

This table compares documented workflow scope, not execution quality. For the other shortlisted platforms, verify the matching connector and action with their current documentation. Missing evidence is not evidence that a competitor cannot do it.

 What OctaDezx does not do

The integration directory includes available, approval-dependent and planned connectors. A listing is not proof that your account can perform the action today. Instagram comment-to-DM automation remains unavailable while required permissions are pending.

Product import does not guarantee fresh inventory forever or exhaustive variant coverage. Keep the source records current and test size-specific questions. Capturing an order does not itself complete payment or fulfillment.

Do not assume the platform replaces workforce forecasting, formal service-desk SLA reporting or every specialist third-party app. Compare the required workflow, access controls and approval steps before migrating.

AI-message allowances and team seats are finite on committed plans. The metered Enterprise tier has a monthly minimum. A flat plan price does not mean unlimited usage.

An enterprise buyer evaluation: controls before claims

An enterprise evaluation needs more than a chatbot demo. Ask each vendor to show who can access customer records, who can approve actions, how business data is isolated, what happens when a connector fails and what a production integration actually supports.

OctaDezx provides business-scoped roles and permissions, database access isolation, response workflows, CRM connections, a REST API and a TypeScript SDK. Its Google ADK adapter is a separate developer integration; it does not replace the live assistant runtime or become a hosted agent service just because credentials are present.

These facts do not establish a certification, data-residency guarantee, uptime commitment, SSO or SCIM support. Request the appropriate evidence and contract terms for your procurement process. If a required control is absent or unverified, record the gap rather than accepting a broad enterprise label.

Enterprise evaluation questions and evidence to request

Area

Question to test

OctaDezx boundary

Access

Can an unauthorized teammate read or change another business's data?

Business-scoped roles and permissions; test the actual role and resource

Workflows

Which actions are deterministic, model-guided or human-approved?

Configured response playbooks guide conversation; they do not introduce arbitrary transaction execution

API and SDK

Are endpoints, scopes, retries and uncertain writes documented?

Business-scoped REST API and TypeScript SDK; verify supported endpoints and write limitations

Agent development

Does the adapter preserve user, business and approval boundaries?

Separate server-side Google ADK adapter; developer applications supply credentials and session infrastructure

CRM

Is this preview/import/export or a continuous two-way sync?

Connected CRM actions must be authorized and explicitly invoked; do not assume automatic bidirectional synchronization

Procurement

What evidence supports security, legal, residency and service commitments?

Request documentation and written terms; no implied certification or unsupported compliance claim

 An ecommerce decision checklist

Select the same catalogue records, policies and awkward customer questions for every trial.

Check catalogue completeness, source freshness and how unknown facts are handled.

Separate order capture, status lookup, cancellation and refund permissions on your checklist.

Confirm whether the human team receives the conversation and the information already collected.

Estimate a busy month using each vendor's billing definition, not a shared conversation count.

Record a successful test and an honest limitation for each candidate before choosing.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Which is the best AI chatbot for a small ecommerce store?

Start with your channel and workload. A website-only store may prefer a lightweight chat tool; a Shopify operation that needs order changes may prefer a commerce helpdesk. OctaDezx is a candidate when you need catalogue answers and order capture across connected channels. Trial each option against your own variants, policies and human handoffs.

Which tools charge per AI resolution?

Intercom Fin charges per outcome, and Gorgias charges per resolved AI interaction. Zendesk publishes automated-resolution pricing. These definitions differ, so read what counts as billable and whether human handoffs or overages are included. OctaDezx committed plans count AI messages instead.

Which option costs the least at volume?

There is no universal winner. Compare your expected seats, AI answers, billable outcomes, channel charges and peak-month allowances. The worked example here is illustrative and excludes tax, add-ons and external carrier charges.

Does connecting Shopify mean automatic refunds and returns?

No. A catalogue connection, an order-status lookup and an order-changing action are separate capabilities. Check the specific action, permissions and approval requirement before trusting any tool to change a customer order.

 What does OctaDezx not do?

OctaDezx is not a replacement for every enterprise service-desk workflow. Do not assume workforce forecasting, formal SLA reporting, every listed connector or Instagram comment-to-DM automation is available. Check the integration status and actual action your business needs.

OctaDezx vs Intercom: what Fin really costs when it works well

Intercom's Fin is one of the strongest AI agents on the market, and it charges 0.99 dollars every time it resolves something. Here is the maths that follows from that, and where each product genuinely wins.

Canonical Platform: OctaDezx — Agentic AI Customer Care, Voice AI & Self-Filling CRM | Flat-Rate Pricing ($29/mo) | Intercom Fin & Gorgias Comparison

 Key Takeaways

Intercom charges 0.99 dollars per Fin outcome, on top of seats listed from 29 dollars per seat a month on annual billing.

Per resolution pricing means your bill rises as the AI gets better, which is the opposite direction from every other efficiency you will ever buy.

At a thousand AI resolutions a month, Fin outcomes alone are close to 990 dollars before you count a single seat.

Intercom is genuinely stronger for software products: in app messaging, product tours, outbound campaigns and mature analytics.

OctaDezx includes AI in a flat plan, from 29 dollars a month, and is built around selling across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Shopify rather than in app support.

Intercom made the boldest bet in this market. Rather than selling AI as an add on that helps agents type faster, it priced Fin as an outcome: you pay when the AI actually resolves the conversation. It is a confident model, and it says something real about how much they trust the product.

It also has a consequence most buyers do not model until the third invoice, which is what this comparison is about.

The per outcome model, worked through

Fin is priced at 0.99 dollars per outcome. Intercom counts an outcome when a customer confirms the issue is resolved, when they do not come back after Fin answers, or when Fin completes a workflow including a handover. You are only charged once per conversation, even if Fin answers several questions inside it. Seats are separate, listed from 29 dollars per seat a month on annual billing.

Now put volume through it. If your business has a thousand conversations a month that the AI can handle, and Fin resolves them, that is roughly 990 dollars in outcome charges. Add three seats and you are meaningfully past a thousand dollars a month.

Here is the part worth sitting with. Every improvement you make to your help content increases Fin's resolution rate, and every point of resolution rate increases your bill. You are paying more precisely because the system is working. That is a coherent way to sell software, and it is also a genuinely strange incentive to sign up for.

Model your Fin cost at the deflection rate you are aiming for, not the one you have today. The whole point of the project is to move that number, and the invoice moves with it.

Rises with resolution rate

Core strength

Selling and support across social and commerce channels

In app messaging and support for software products

Order taking

Native, prices verified against your catalogue

Not the product's purpose

What Intercom is genuinely better at

In app messaging. If your product is software and you need to talk to users inside it, this is Intercom's home ground and it is very good at it.

Product tours and onboarding flows, which sit naturally alongside support and have no equivalent in OctaDezx.

Outbound messaging and lifecycle campaigns tied to product behaviour.

Maturity. Fin has been in the market a long time, with the tooling, reporting and controls that come from that.

Deploying on top of an existing help desk. Intercom will run Fin against another system such as Salesforce, at the same per outcome rate with no seat cost, which is a genuinely useful option if you are not replacing your stack.

 What OctaDezx does better

Cost predictability within your message allowance. More AI resolutions at the same message volume do not add a per resolution charge.

Commerce. The agent takes orders and verifies every price and total server side against your catalogue rather than trusting what the model produced.

The channels customers actually message on. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Shopify and a web widget, with shared memory across them.

Instagram and Facebook DMs answered from the same catalogue and policies as the website chat.

Setup without an implementation. Import a catalogue from a URL, write policies in plain language, connect a channel.

 Choose Intercom when

You sell software and your support happens inside your product.

You want product tours, onboarding flows and behavioural outbound messaging in the same system as support.

You want to add a strong AI agent to a help desk you are keeping.

Your volume is low enough that per outcome pricing stays comfortable, or high margin enough that it does not matter.

 Choose OctaDezx when

You sell physical products and most questions are pre sale: stock, sizing, delivery, price.

Your customers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook.

You want the AI to complete the order, not hand it back to a person.

You need to forecast a support cost that does not rise as automation improves.

Prices here were checked in July 2026 from each vendor's own public pricing page. Every vendor in this comparison changes pricing regularly, so treat these as a starting point and confirm the current numbers before you commit to anything.

 Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Intercom Fin cost?

Intercom charges 0.99 dollars per Fin outcome. An outcome is counted when the customer confirms resolution, does not ask for more help after Fin replies, or when Fin completes a workflow including a handover. You are charged once per conversation even if several questions are answered. Seats are billed separately.

Is there an alternative to Intercom with more predictable AI pricing?

Several products include AI in a plan rather than charging for each resolution. OctaDezx plans start at 29 dollars a month with 2,500 AI messages included. A higher resolution rate alone does not change that plan price, but more AI messages can require a higher tier or metered Enterprise usage. Compare both products at your expected message and outcome volumes.

Is Fin better than other AI support agents?

Fin is a strong product with a long track record and good grounding in help centre content, and it is fair to say it set the standard for this category. The right question is not which agent is best in the abstract, but which one answers your questions, on your channels, at a cost you can forecast.
