The oppression of different licensing types, open-ended questions.

Are there any bodies of work that show a statistical correlation between the differing licensing types(perpetual licensing, subscription licensing, floating licensing, whitelist licensing, academic licensing, off-line duration licensing, trial, feature, or fixed duration licensing) and to what degree does that hinder the forward momentum of a project?
What would be most universally fundamental for an open source project with a large contributory body to thrive successfully given the assumption of proper management and not dispensed with, at least, not in a contemptuous way or even a dismissive manner but with the collective goal to create something of unquestionable purpose and meaning?

Let's address the wolf at the door, save the tyrant for another war.

The narcissism within that has yet been controlled (a paradoxical ideology, we are all dangerous individuals, but that which is not evident is that the dangerous individuals who can control their potentiality towards being dangerous is likely the most dangerous individual on your team while equally the less threatening of all of them at the same time).
I suspect it's the dangerous opposition towards the uncontrolled dangerous individual that will drive the unification of society forward.
Narcissism provides many benefits but comes at a very dangerous price; friends, families, jobs, opportunities, purpose, meaning.
Narcissism doesn't have to be a defining trait, it will not be an easy journey to unlearn the behavioral traits that pours out of your spores like you just ran a marathon. No, there will be no un-conditional positive regard because anytime you try to change a bad habit there will ALWAYS be apart of yourself working in counter-purpose to that regard.
Realize and accept the narcissistic traits but let those stand on the side of you, not in opposition of you, not as a barrier of defining character, but simply as another dimension of who you are. Take notice of the contempt and judgement these traits bring to you on a daily basis and find the line between chaos and order to make things better, arguably, you're going to face the fact that you can't simply ignore the traits and stand on the other side, hoping ignorance or strategic disregard will take over and dispense with the proverbial wolf at the door.

Finding unity within the socio-cultural environments of social-media and chatroom platforms/forums.

This is actually a fairly routine question I'm asked and overwhelming I am asked this by people who had certain traits that they wished to change or create a manifestation akin to Carl Jung's "retrogression restoration of the persona" to where they deviate off of their current path and into the depths of the proverbial darkness within ourselves to address either a subconscious or conscious issue that's not allowing their inner flame to illuminate as brightly as it could or for that matter, at all.
The issue I take with that type of phenomena and is addressed fairly universally with a lot of psychologist, once you confront this darkness, this deterrent that was keeping you from forging any type of unification with your peers and those around you has now created a new version of your identity. Whether it be good or bad, it's very possible that this new found persona is wildly misunderstood.
It's very important to realize and accept that at some point in your life, you will be misunderstood for one reason or another, and by everybody. They will question your WHY because they themselves can't make sense of your actions. They may ask you questions with the assumption that there is something wrong with you and no matter how well you articulate your thoughts, some may never come to understand. They'll witness your drive, this new persona that's taken form, and view it as some new found obsession(and likely so, but for most obsessions, they can be detrimentally healthy to your success in the world as a person, spouse, friend, peer, community member, etc.) and they will take up their own opinions, depending on how far your descent and how much you gain from delving into the depths of chaos.
Very often, these people will view this new-found energy, drive, or simply a new manifestation for a worthwhile pursuit on life and view it as a uneducated diagnosis of psychosis. We've all been around the type, if we haven't been there ourselves, the type that for a plethora of personal reasons always does just a little bit more than everyone else, not because it's easier for them but because they're driven to strive for something we don't understand. That's when appreciation comes into play, you will start to appreciate the fact that people are beginning to understand that it's not that there is something wrong with you, rather simply, that you possess a drive so full of purpose and meaning that they themselves have yet to find that line between chaos and order.

An open discussion on coping with unreached potential

So I will introduce the opening narrative to open the floor for discussion and layout a few observable obstacles but would love community feedback to better understand the true underlying and arch-arching obstacles that act as deterrents towards our maximum potentiality in our endeavors but also, tips, tricks, affirmations, and other advice that can be given that may help other better cope with these obstacles to help overcome them.

When you posit your ideal, large or small, conscientiously address it with cunning to further your potential success

How one might ask?

When you posit an ideal, you place yourself in an inferior position in relation to that ideal and that can be a rather crushing weight on your shoulders so you must have a multi-faceted answer to a simple question. How do you position yourself to tap into the maximum potentiality that may seem locked or untapped but will bring you to address a forward movement towards your primary ideal?

You can simply have no ideals, nothing to strive for, nothing to do which is a bad answer. This leads to idleness, stagnation, and the deprivation of the main source of pleasure which is observed, perhaps consciously but more notably subconsciously as a consequence of observed movement towards the ideal you've placed value in.
You can set your ideal beyond the capacity of what you know you can presently reach. This can act counter-productively, like a double-edged sword in a sense, it can allow for some forward momentum which will produce a rather powerful drive towards your ideal but if you set the ideal too high, you become a victim of your self-driven judgment towards the ideal which can lead to feelings of failure, stagnation, and inadequacies.

As I analyze this theory I will present further ideologies on how to address the type of coping needed almost as an inherent necessity to bolster your abilities and position forward in life.

This is an open discussion, so please, share your ideas and thoughts on the premise, a rising tide raises all ships, the more we speak on these topics the better we strengthen our depth of faith and constitution of character to not let these obstacles towards our ideals stop us!

PHP - Google/YT - An OAuth issue

I was operating a site a few years back where I could use the YT API with just a key and specific API link to allow the end-user to hover over videos for a short-play/info etc. It seems now, OAuth is required but no matter how I try to configure it, it seems to get stuck on the search function and I can't for the life of me find the issue that lies within.

I have it set up with globals defined within the function to search, along with the urlencoded key, and akey. I am using the Google API to search results up to 50 verifying the key/akey in the search. It's then set up to display in an XML with predefined methods to organize the search results, to cache older search results of the same or create a new cache of the file, this runs using a time interval to refresh results every x minutes. Where could I be not looking that's the deterrent for providing me the search results?

The basic functionality would be

The limitations of speech and contributions in developmental circles

A rising tide lifts all ships (an ever-evident ideology that has held true for hundreds of years).
Walking the line of social media and the rapidly changing landscape and the rules in which they're governed is a very important topic that should be a cornerstone to be addressed. Though I suspect at present I do not have a clear enough understanding of all the restrictions on speech and contributions to further expand on this topic yet.

Passive avoidance, the victim role, and repression

Terrible things happen to everyone, from childhood to adulthood, from the classroom to the chatrooms. I believe this to be a topic many people in the tech industry, among others, but specific to this blog site is one that is ignored and perhaps we can have dive down into the depths and explore if there is a legitimate reason to ignore such a truth.
No one person can know everything, trivially, everyone has something forthright with the substantial potentiality to be something unbeknownst to your own wealth of knowledge.
We are all victims, we all have to face the same wolf at the door, we all need to keep the same proverbial/sometimes literal tyrant at bay.
Why telling the truth pays off in the long term and lies only help to escape conflict in its infancy and will lead to inevitable conflict later on.
The victim role and the temptation to circumvent conflict in the short term and why it leads to unavoidable conflict long-term.

The important management of social relationships

Proper treatment of fellow developers, friends, family, and strangers.
The index of negative emotions: Neuroticism and its multiple sub-traits and its prevalence in the open-source community.
Owning up to your responsibilities that are fundamental to the success of the community.
The creative and the importance of openness attributes that are deeply rooted in biology that is not simply a plethora of surface sub-traits.

The Creative, trait-intelligence, and the ability to manipulate abstractions in a quick manner

Addressing the difference between narcissism and confidence.
Addressing your responsibilities as a creative (as the movement of innovation forward towards a more unified and fundamentally tolerable world).
Addressing the utility of manipulation and deceit, learning how to identify and address it in a forthright manner to not cause any more hostility than the usage of the utility will cause by itself.

Security

We are all capable of dangerous things, we must first accept this as fact as we are the dominant species at the top of the food chain for a very specific reason.
We must respect the fact that simply because we are dangerous, it's a utility to be dangerous, not an implicative necessity to thrive in life but rather a mechanism to enforce the security of oneself in the future.
As I'm sure we've all witnessed, experienced, or been a part of victimization; this opens the door to what we all fear and look away from because of a biological trait deeply rooted to avoid certain types of conflict.
The conflict is that life is simply put, frail and vulnerable, much like the code that we write. I believe security is one possible route to global unification at least to some degree(likely as much as possible given a dismissal of one centralized system of power).
Lastly, I think there is important significance to realize that no matter your level of knowledge, education, or experience. You're still subjected to being vulnerable and so it's a necessity to realize the strength that comes from a forthright and just community. Cooperatively we sail off on rising tides, the lone wolf doesn't always perish to starvation, it perishes without a tribe.
