We are happy to announce VDS hosting

Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) hosting solutions
Amber IT is introducing Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS)! Powerful instances with quick provisioning were the #1 feature request from our customers. It’s a perfect combination of dedicated physical CPU cores and quick provisioning.

The Power Of A Dedicated Server Provisioned As Quickly As A VPS

With a Virtual Dedicated Server, you get dedicated computing power in the form of dedicated physical CPU cores, which aren’t shared with anyone else, thus there are no noisy neighbors and no one can impact even the most demanding workflow. Additionally, quick provisioning makes these powerful instances available within minutes, not days.

Memory-Optimized

Furthermore, our new VDS series has been specifically optimized for memory-intensive applications such as databases. The 1:8 CPU core to RAM ratio and 100% NVMe SSD storage ensures high performance for all the applications you run on your VDS.

Best-in-class CPU

When choosing a CPU for Virtual Dedicated Servers we wanted to offer as much computing power as possible for as little as possible. That’s why we have chosen AMD EPYC 7282 CPU.

Nested Virtualization

With our new VDS, you can host your own virtual machines. We know that lack of this possibility for VPS has been a concern for many of you, so we have configured Virtual Dedicated Servers in a way that enables nested virtualization!

Dedicated Bandwidth

It’s not only CPU cores and RAM which can be dedicated. You can also order dedicated bandwidth for each of your Virtual Dedicated Servers.

Additional Storage

Should you need more space on your VDS, you can order up to 2 additional disks with up to 4 TB space each!

Equipped with 100% NVMe SSDs, dedicated physical cores, and a sizable amount of RAM our Virtual Dedicated Servers are instantly available for heavy lifting without “breaking a sweat”. Here’s the full Virtual Dedicated Server product line presentation.

To install a Node.js application on your website, you need to upload the application’s files to the server first. You can upload them via FTP - https://www.amberit.org/k1/how-to-upload-files-on-a-www-amberit-org-shared-hosting-using-ftp/ you can read more about it in our Knowledgebase entry How to upload files on a www.amberit.org shared hosting using ftp - https://www.amberit.org/k1/how-to-upload-files-on-a-www-amberit-org-shared-hosting-using-ftp/ or using the File Manager to find out more on How to upload files and content using file manager - https://www.amberit.org/k1/how-to-upload-files-and-content-using-file-manager/.

To set your application up, go to Websites & Domains and click Node.js. On this screen you can see a number of controls that will help you manage your Node.js application:

Node.js Version. This control displays the currently selected version of the runtime environment that will be used to run your application. Click the version number to select a different Node.js version.

Document Root. Here you can set the domain’s document root directory, which must be a subdirectory of the application root directory, specified below.

Application Mode. You can select between “Development” and “Production” modes, or type a custom mode name. The NODE_ENVthe environment variable will reflect your choice.

Application URL. Click this automatically generated URL to open the application in your browser.

Application Root. By default, the application root is the www.amberit.org hosting provided root directory. Click “[open]” to browse the contents of the application root directory using the File Manager. Additionally, in www.amberit.org hosting control panel, you can click the currently set application root path to set a custom application root.

Application Startup File. By default, the startup file name is presumed to be app.js. Click it to type a custom startup file name.

(For Linux shared hosting only) Custom environment variables. Here you can see a list of custom environment variables you have set for your application (if any). Click “[specify]” to add or remove environment variables for your application:
Click Add variable to add another environment variable to the list. Type in the variable name in the left field, and its desired value in the right.
Edit the variables already on the list by clicking the corresponding field and typing in the new variable name or value.
Click Remove next to a variable to remove it from the list.

Click Ok when finished

If the application root directory contains the package.json configuration file, two additional controls become available:

NPM install. Installs the package(s) described in the package.json file.
Run script. Runs a command specified in the “Scripts” section of the package.json file. Specify the name of the script to run plus any parameters, then click Ok.

If your application files include the package.json, Gruntfile.js, gulpfile.js, or webpack.config.js configuration files, they will be listed in the “Access to Configuration Files” section on the right. Click the name of a configuration file to open it for editing.

Once you have finished configuring your application, click Enable Node.js to start it. The information about your application, including the Node.js version and the application mode will be displayed below the domain name together with the Restart App button.

If, at a later date, you should need to disable Node.js, go to Websites & Domains, click Node.js, and then click Disable Node.js. Disabling Node.js does not affect your settings, and you can reactivate your application at any time.

How to Schedule a Task

Sometimes, some scripts or WordPress requires an automatic task to be performed. On www.amberit.org shared web hosting you can schedule these tasks to be automated. With the modern technology that we provide, you can also set automatic notifications via e-mail if task has run and what is the status, also there is an option that you can create an e-mail notification when the task has failed so that you know and can resolve the issues.

To schedule an automatic task:
1.You need to have an active Amber IT shared hosting, if you don't have one no worries you can order one and after the 1 payment is received you will automatically get access to our shared hosting control panel. If you make payment via PayPal or Credit card the hosting is activated in 5-10 minutes.

2.To created or see scheduled tasks for a subscription, go to Websites & Domains > Scheduled Tasks.

For every task in the list, you can change the settings of the task (by clicking on the task’s name), activate it by clicking the icon, deactivate it by clicking the icon, or run the task immediately.

3.To create a scheduled task, go to Websites & Domains > Scheduled Tasks > Add Task.

First, you need to select the task type, depending on your purpose:

Command. Specify the full path to the executable file to be run. This includes binary files, shell scripts, and batch files.
Fetch a URL. Specify the URL only; there is no need to type the command, such as “curl” or “wget”.
Run a PHP script. Specify the path to the script relative to your virtual host directory. You can click the

icon to quickly locate the script file.

Note: In Amber IT system for Linux all “Run a command” scheduled tasks by default are run in a chrooted environment. The home directory of a subscription’s system user is treated as the file system root for that subscription, and no executable files outside the chroot jail can be run. If you are encountering “file not found” errors during the execution of your scheduled tasks, try using paths relative to the system user’s home directory, and not absolute ones. If you need the ability to run executable files located outside the chroot jail, you would need to contact Amber IT support.
Next, select how often the task will run, and set the desired time and date. By default the time is in the server time zone; if you need to select a different time zone, go to Websites & Domains tab > Scheduled Tasks > Settings. You can also set a description for the task, and configure notifications.

Finally, before saving the task, you have the option to do a test run to make sure that the task is configured correctly. Click Run Now and wait for the task to finish. If the task finishes with an error, it will also fail to work when executed by the scheduler, unless you find and resolve the issue first.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support and we will provide answers related to our hosting and it's advantages.

How to Importing Sites from SiteBuilder 4.5

If you have a site created with SiteBuilder 4.5, you can import it into www.amberit.org shared web hosting Presence Builder.

Note: The import of sites from earlier versions of SiteBuilder or other content management systems is not supported.
If your site was created with an earlier version of SiteBuilder (4.4 or earlier), and you would like to transfer your site to www.amberit.org shared web hosting, you can do the following:

Contact our support team with a request to upgrade your account to the latest version of Presence Builder.
Transfer your site manually by copying and pasting the content.
During site import, most parts of the site structure and content can be transferred successfully. However, we cannot guarantee that all content will be transferred.

In most well-known cases, the following elements are imported successfully:

Site map.
Static pages, including links and images in text modules. Note that text blocks exceeding 30 kilobytes may be cut; therefore, some parts of the text may be missing.
Banner (if it is not a custom image).
The slogan, site title.
Logo (if it is not a custom image).
Footer text.
Meta information (keywords, description).
The other modules can be imported only as text widgets with static content, links, and images. Buttons will not work. The image gallery structure can be imported without images.

To import a site from SiteBuilder 4.5:

Open the Presence Builder editor, and on the topic selection screen, click Import Site from SiteBuilder 4.5.
Type the Internet address (domain name) of your site that you want to import. For example http://example.com.
Select the checkbox to confirm that you are aware of possible import issues, and click Import Site.
After the site is imported, review and edit it as required. ( In Presence Builder, you can change almost any element of your website. Most of the elements are changed in place - you open a page where the element is used, edit it, and see the result right away. Site-wide elements, such as those inserted in DESIGN areas are changed in one place but the changes are applied to each page of your website. )
Note: If you are using Internet Explorer, we strongly recommend that you avoid using browser zoom to change the size of the text displayed in your browser window. Please note that websites in Presence Builder will perform and look best at normal zoom (100%).

You can compare the imported site version with your original site and add the missing information manually.

When finished with editing your website design and content are ready to be published to the Internet, click Publish in the top right corner of the main menu.

Presence Builder will publish your website automatically to the location specified by our system.

If you are publishing your new site to the same subscription on which your site created with SiteBuilder 4.5 was hosted, the old site will be overwritten.

Presence Builder (also referred to as editor) is a visual editor that lets small business owners and individuals create their websites quickly and easily. With Presence Builder, you do not have to write code or configure servers to start a blog, open an online store, or set up any other form of a website. You just add the content blocks that comprise your site (text, image gallery, online store) by dragging them to pages, fill these blocks with your content, and publish the result. That’s it!

Start Creating a Website

When you start working on your website, you do not have to write text, search for the images, and adjust the site look. Just choose a topic that best suits your website, and Presence Builder will generate a site template that already contains a set of pages, pictures, and text relevant to the selected topic. Each time Presence Builder generates a website, it uses a random set of element designs, so you can be sure that your website design is never repeated.

Once you have selected the topic, you will be prompted to enter some additional information that Presence Builder will add to the website’s pages, for example, your phone number, which will appear on the Contact Us page.

For more details on how to start creating your website, see the section Create your first website at www.amberit.org hosting

Import Websites Created in SiteBuilder 4.5

If you already have a website created with SiteBuilder 4.5 and hosted elsewhere, you can import your website to your new customer account. Learn how to move your SiteBuilder 4.5 website to Presence Builder in the section Importing Sites from SiteBuilder 4.5.

Fill the Site with Content

As soon as Presence Builder creates your website, you can fill it with your content. Your main editing tool is the Presence of Builder’s main menu. You can do the following by using the menu:

Change the structure of your site: Add or remove pages.
Edit the website design: Change colors and layout.
Fill the site with your content: Remove unused predefined content and add your own elements:
Text
Images and image galleries
Videos
Scripts
Blogs
Search boxes
Other elements
Let your visitors share the information on your website on social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or Twitter: Add the corresponding buttons to the pages of your site.
To learn more about actions available to you in the editor, refer to the section Getting Familiar With the Presence Builder Editor - https://www.amberit.org/k1/getting-familiar-with-well-known-presence-builder

Find instructions on managing website look and content in the section Editing a Website - https://www.amberit.org/k1/how-to-importing-sites-from-sitebuilder-4-5

Make the Site available on the Internet

After you finish editing the website, make it available on the Internet. To let people see your site at your domain name, publish the website by clicking the corresponding button in the main menu. When you click this link, Presence Builder generates the static pages and scripts that comprise your website and places them in the appropriate locations on the server so that people see them when they enter your domain name in their browsers. Click Publish in the top right corner of the main menu. Presence Builder will publish your website automatically to the location specified www.amberit.org shared hosting system.

You can also attract more visitors to your sites by placing a site copy on Facebook - a popular social network. Refer to the section Publishing a Website Copy to Facebook - https://www.amberit.org/k1/publishing-your-website-copy-to-facebook/ for detailed instructions on how to do this.

For a hosting with a "Website Presence Builder" you can find:

Linux based shared web hosting: https://www.amberit.org/c1/linux-web-hosting/

When your project is growing you will need a proper cache, now there are several different options available in the market including services like Cloudflare, Akamai, and Imperva But if your project isn't that big and you don't want to pay or you want the cache to be stored on your infrastructure, therefore we have several options, but today we will have a look at Redis free solution.

Redis is a useful open-source in-memory data structure storage. It can be used in many possible ways for example it can be used as a database, cache, and message broker and supports various data structures such as Strings, Hashes, Lists, Sets, etc. It provides high availability via Redis Sentinel including monitoring, notifications Automatic failover. It also can provide automatic partitioning across multiple Redis nodes if you have installed and configured them with Redis Cluster.

We at www.amberit.org, have created automatically installation script for Redis, this script we have hosted on both our hosted GIT and Github difference is that our hosted GIT is free of use and with unlimited abilities.

To fastly install Redis without spending a lot of time copy-paste commands Just run in the terminal this command as a root user and wait for 1 minute until all is installed, at the end you will see our www.amberit.org message with success once all is done. What is in the script you can find in both Gits mentioned below and also in our full article.

Command for automaticall installation:

sudo yum -y install git ; git clone https://www.amberit.in/linux-scripts/centos-7-install-redis.git /srv/ ; chmod +x /srv/amberit-redis.sh ; /srv/amberit-redis.sh ; rm -rf /srv/amberit-redis.sh

Full article: https://www.amberit.org/k1/centos-7-install-redis-cache/

The script in our GIT where we maintain it:
https://www.amberit.in/linux-scripts/centos-7-install-redis

Git, that is free of charge without limitations and soon with test servers: https://www.amberit.in

The script in our GitHub repo: https://github.com/rpdataSIA/Centos-amberit.org-redis

Hosting, domain name registration, Digital office, VPS, VDS: https://github.com/rpdataSIA/Centos-amberit.org-redis

Why you or your company need a Domain Name

On the global Internet, your or your company domain name is your unique identity. Any individual, blog, business, or organization planning to have an Internet presence should invest in a domain name. Having your own personal domain name, website and email addresses will give you and your business a more professional look. Another reason for a blog or business to register a domain name is to protect copyrights and trademarks, build creditability, increase brand awareness, and search engine positioning.

With www.amberit.org hosting plans, as a domain name is one of the most crucial tools to build your or your company reputation, we include a free domain name registration in our annual ordered hosting plans. So for example, if you or your company don't have a domain name yet we offer a free domain name registration on annual hosting order and payments. If for example you already have a domain name and you would like to use our hosting and transfer the domain name too as a register (Register is an organization, that maintains domain name and bills you yearly for a domain name), then also we cover the transfer fees and keep your domain for you free of charge if you order and pay annual hosting plan and the domain charge is free until you cancel your subscription or stop making payments or downgrade to a monthly subscription. The domain name prices for each domain zone is a different go to https://my.amberit.org/cart.php?a=add&domain=register for a list of domain zones and prices.

www.amberit.org - European hosting company that works globally covers more than 700 domain zones worldwide. If you need a domain for your personal reasons, for a project or for a company we can provide you with full service. We recommend purchasing a yearly hosting service subscription and getting a domain free of charge from www.amberit.org, which is the best option available in the market.
