I started my journey in a classroom, not in a tech company.
For five years, I worked as a teacher in Hargeisa. Every day, I was planning lessons, managing time, solving problems, and supporting students. At that time, I didn’t realize I was already building strong project management skills.
Later, I transitioned into technology and computer science, and everything started to connect.
How Teaching Shaped My Tech Career
Teaching gave me skills that are very useful in tech:
Planning and organizing work
Managing multiple tasks at once
Communicating clearly
Solving real-world problems
These are the same skills used in:
Software development
Project management
Digital product building
Combining Tech + Project Management
With my background in Computer Science and Project Planning, I started focusing on:
Building simple digital systems
Structuring projects from idea to delivery
Managing workflows and tasks
Creating solutions that solve real problems
Instead of only writing code, I now think about:
👉 Why the system is needed
👉 Who will use it
👉 How it will be managed
What I’m Building Now
Currently, I am working on:
Portfolio website with blog integration
Simple API-based systems
Digital tools for small workflows
Content around technology and development
I focus on building practical solutions, not just theory.
What I’ve Learned So Far
You don’t need to be perfect to start
Real-world problems are the best learning source
Combining skills makes you stronger
Simple solutions can have big impact
My Direction
I am now focusing on:
Technology and digital systems
Project planning and coordination
Freelancing and international opportunities
Building solutions that support businesses and communities
Final Thought
Your background is not a limitation. It is your advantage.
For me, teaching + technology + project management created a unique path.
