I Built a TypeScript HTTP Client ,Now I Want Developers to Break It

I’ve been building something I’d like developers to test.

Today, I’m opening thusdev-fetch to the community.

It’s a lightweight, TypeScript-first HTTP client designed around a simple idea:

Make HTTP requests easier to integrate without ignoring security, reliability and developer experience.

I built it because, in real projects, fetch is often only the beginning. Developers eventually need to add the same things around it: retries, timeouts, caching, error handling, interceptors, logging and security controls.

Thusdev-fetch brings these concerns together while keeping the API simple and close to the native Fetch model.

It includes:

TypeScript-first API
Safe retries with backoff and jitter
Timeout and cancellation
Request deadlines
Interceptors and plugins
Caching with TTL, ETag and stale-while-revalidate
SSRF-oriented URL validation
Redirect controls
Request/response size limits
Streaming responses
Structured errors
Metrics and request hooks
Security-conscious logging

It’s not meant to replace tools like Postman, Insomnia or curl. Those are great for manually testing APIs. Thusdev-fetch is meant to live inside your JavaScript/TypeScript application and handle HTTP requests at runtime.

But the most important part now is not what I built.

It’s what developers will find when they actually use it.

I’m looking for developers who can install it, try it in a real project, break it, review the API, and tell me what should be improved.

Turn Any GitHub Repo into a Visual Diagram

Found a pretty neat GitHub trick today

Take any GitHub repo URL and replace github.com with gitdiagram.com.

It generates a visual diagram of the repo structure, which is surprisingly useful when you're trying to understand an unfamiliar codebase.

I tried it with my open-source project:

Pretty useful when exploring a TypeScript project for the first time.
