Decentralisation have the key benefits of:
• Resilience
• Transparency
• Data integrity
• Privacy

You can reap these benefits by simply adding a blockchain related component to your existing design!

The easiest way to do this is to communicate with a public node through a public web socket.

How to earn crypto by setting up a validator node on CENNZnet

In a Poof of Stake blockchain network, you don't need super computers to set up a node to produce blocks.

By contributing computational power, you will earn cryptocurrencies as a reward.

Hardware requirements:
CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
Storage - 150GB, ideally 450GB
Memory - 64GB

Building a blockchain runtime module in Rust as Jr Dev

Here on the CENNZnet team, Our newest Junior Developer Jason decided to learn Rust by getting his hands dirty.

He thought the best way to learn to build a runtime module for the blockchain CENNZnet, was to build the classic game of Snake.

Runtime modules are the building blocks for CENNZnet. They are written in Rust for performance and security. CENNZnet provides runtime modules for commonly used functionalities in DApps(Decentralised Apps), then expose them through a JavaScript API for the ease of use.

While this Snake runtime module is unlikely to be useful for other DApp developers, it sure was a fruitful journey full of learnings.

This blockchain Snake game records the command and positions on the blockchain as transactions. Then the game reads these positions from the chain to display on the page.

How we grow a decentralised network

Growing something new when the market is dominated by an existing player is difficult. Here's an update on how we are doing :)

We are a startup building an open source decentralised network called CENNZnet. Our goal is to build the ideal platform for DApp(Decentralised Apps) developers. We make the benefits of blockchain approachable, and address the issues DApp developers are currently facing.

As a new blockchain network, we had to bootstrap the network by providing some nodes before we invite others to join. We started and maintain some nodes on AWS to give our network a kick start. Since we hadn't yet got a community of network participants, the original development team made all the decisions on the business logic of the network.

Then we encourage our users (DApp developers), as well as investors to join the network. When people contribute computational power to the network, they are rewarded with tokens. DApp developers also get the benefit of having a more reliable and faster connection by using a dedicated node for their DApps.

As we grow the participants of the network, we also continue to develop the technology and educate the network participants about blockchain, so that we can get to a fully decentralised stage where all network decisions are made by the community.

Who are we?

We, the CENNZnet team, build an open-source blockchain platform for developers to build quality DApps(Decentralised Apps) quickly.

Our latest addition to CENNZnet is the NFT module. This allows you to harness the power of NFT through a simple JavaScript API.
