  The problem

&lt;p&gt;Most founders wait for perfect conditions. They polish MVPs for months, chase funding, and burn out before shipping. I needed a forcing function — something that made me ship or die.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So I built a game.&lt;/p&gt;

  The mechanic

&lt;p&gt;You start as a Noob Pirate. Your mission: ship a startup every 30 days. Miss the deadline? Your character dies. No resets.&lt;br&gt;

  Why it works
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;World of Warcraft kept me addicted for years. Same loop: level up, complete quests, get rewards. I mapped that onto startup building.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Complete a quest (e.g., "Build 3 features") → get XP&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Level up → unlock new perks&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ship on time → stay alive&lt;/li&gt;

  How I built it in 34 hours
&lt;/h2&gt;
