// The problem
I am a technical trainer from India. I want to host my training material as a public open source project. It will help my students with easy access and it will be nice to open it for everyone to see.

// The GitHub solution
The obvious choice seems to be hosting it as a repo on GitHub.

// My problem
But I don't like the fact that GitHub will train it's AI bots on my work without my permission. Also, the fact that the code of "GitHub" itself is not open source seems very questionable.

// The Dev.to + Gitlab solution
My current solution is to keep the repo on Gitlab and post relevant updates here on Dev.to.
