      <description>&lt;p&gt;Most people have a common misconception that a fast internet connection always means a fast app experience.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In reality, two different factors are at play: latency and throughput&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Latency&lt;/strong&gt; is the time it takes for a single request to travel from your device to a server and back. It’s what determines how quickly you see a response after clicking a button or loading a page.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Throughput&lt;/strong&gt; is the amount of data that can be delivered over a network in a given period. It’s about how much information can move through the system at once.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Both latency and throughput impact performance, but in different ways.&lt;/p&gt;
