You.com is a privacy-focused search engine built in Palo Alto, California, United States that summarizes web results using website categories, contrary to a traditional search engine that shows a list of links.

What is the difference between Google and you com?

You.com is a search engine that wants to take on Google and has no ads policy. Whereas, Google is a platform with search in the center and other products like Gmail, Android, YouTube, and more bolstering its presence. Also, Google receives over a billion search queries daily.

✅ Summary
Copy and paste an article, and ask, “can you summarize this article in one paragraph in a way that a 5th grader could understand it?”

✅ Coding
Ask it to write basic scripts or even more qualitative questions like “what is the most efficient way to loop through a list in Python?”

✅ Planning
Think of an overwhelming task you have on your plate and a reasonable timeline, and ask, “create a schedule for me to launch my new machine learning startup by May 1, 2023? Please include deliverables, timelines, contingency planning, team bonding, breaks, brainstorming, and user testing.”

Is the tool perfect? Absolutely not. I’ve explored these flaws in countless posts—bias, data privacy, homogeneity, centralization, accuracy, reliance, plagiarism, job shifts, just to name a few.

But part of preparing for the future means understanding it.

And understanding it often means trying it, testing it, breaking it.

AI is not science fiction. It’s not a thought experiment from the 60s or a movie you watched in the 90s.

"ChatGPT will kill Google. Google missed the AI wave. RIP Google."

This point of view is wrong. Here's why👇👇

ChatGPT won't be able to kill Google Search because:

it isn't connected to the internet. ChatGPT doesn't know that Argentina won FIFA or Russia attacked Ukraine.
it often gives wrong answers.
the main reason: it is very expensive to search on ChatGPT compared to a search engine because running an AI is very expensive.

Google is not an idiot. Google hasn't missed the AI wave.

They have several AI models like LaMDA, BERT and BUM, which are equal to or better than ChatGPT.

So why hasn't Google released these AI to the public?

Because AI(both ChatGPT and Google's AI) is wrong a lot of times.

ChatGPT is new to the market, so they can afford to be wrong.

But Google has a reputation. They can't launch a product which gives wrong answers. Media will kill them.

That's why Google is working on improving their AI instead of launching it quickly.

[Reportedly] Elon Musk sent an email to the staff at Tesla with his 6 rules for productivity. Unsurprisingly, it leaked.

Here they are:

1) Avoid large meetings

Large meetings waste valuable time and energy.

They discourage debate.
People are more guarded than open.
There’s not enough time for everyone to contribute.

Don’t schedule large meetings unless you’re certain they provide value to everyone.

2) Leave a meeting if you’re not contributing

If a meeting doesn’t require your:

Input.
Value.
Decisions.

Your presence is useless.
It’s not rude to leave a meeting.
But it’s rude to waste people’s time.

3) Forget the chain of command

Communicate with colleagues directly.
Not through supervisors or managers.
Fast communicators make fast decisions.
Fast decisions = competitive advantage.

4) Be clear, not clever

Avoid nonsense words and technical jargon.
It slows down communication.

Choose words that are:

Concise.
To the point.
Easy to understand.

Don’t sound smart. Be efficient.

5) Ditch frequent meetings

There’s no better way to waste everyone’s time.
Use meetings to:

Collaborate.
Attack issues head-on.
Solve urgent problems.

But once you resolve the issue, frequent meetings are no longer necessary.

You can resolve most issues without a meeting.
Instead of meetings:

Send a text.
Send an email.
Communicate on a discord or slack channel.

Don’t interrupt your team’s workflow if it’s unnecessary.

6) Use common sense

If a company rule doesn’t:

Make sense.
Contribute to progress.
Apply to your specific situation.

Avoid following the rule with your eyes closed.
Don’t follow rules. Follow principles.

👉 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 (40–60 mins) — One or two phone screens with the hiring manager or a Google employee. You’ll solve a coding question related to #datastructures and #algorithms on a shared Google Doc. Some questions on your background.
