Why does this exist?

I have been in the blogging and publishing space for over 6 years. The hardest part was never the writing -- it was getting seen. As a new publisher you have almost no visibility, and every avenue to fix that was either paid or useless.

Bloghub is Product Hunt for blogs. Just like Product Hunt became the default place to launch a SaaS product, Bloghub is where you launch and grow a publication.

What does it do?

It is in beta but already gives you three things most publishers are paying for elsewhere:

Free backlinks — real SEO value, no strings attached. We are following the best practices for SEO, giving you an indexed page + 6 six backlinks for your publication automatically.

What is coming next?

Bloghub is built in public and shaped by its users. Here are some directions we are exploring (these aren’t confirmed but we are very likely to build on these ideas) :

Submit new posts — right now you can add your publication with up to 5 post links. But great publications ship content daily, so we are building a way to submit new posts on an ongoing basis and keep your page fresh.

Exclusive content — we are exploring a feed where users post exclusive content that everyone can read on Bloghub, turning it into more of a social media platform.

Find readers — often as a new publication you have great content but no way to meet your audience. Depending on a few factors, we will introduce non-intrusive, non-spammy ways of helping you find readers.

Partnerships and writers — similar to finding readers, many publications need good writers or publishing partners that can help them write better or get more cross-visibility.

AI tools for publications — I am first and foremost a AI Engineer/Consultant. Have made many projects, which includes blog2video.app. In the future me & my team will add more AI tools into the system that can help writers.

The complete inside story behind blog2video.app
A few weeks ago, I was sitting in my room, anxious about a problem I had seen for quite some time. I have relied on writing to be the main marketing channel for my business, but in recent years video platforms, specifically short-term video, have dominated consumer mind share, with attention spans shrinking. I needed to fix this by either becoming an influencer myself or getting someone to make videos out of my written content.

I tried hiring someone to turn my blog posts into videos for YouTube, but it didn’t work out. Each video required at least five hours of editing and production, which added up to around $30K for about 50 Substack posts—making it economically infeasible.

Instead of giving up, I decided to try doing it myself—not by opening video editing software, but by using Cursor (a coding agent). I came across Remotion, which lets you create videos using React code, and started prompting my way through it. To my surprise, the results were great. All I had to do was download my blog, give the coding agent a specialized prompt, and—voilà—I had a video. With just minor edits, I was able to get most of what I wanted.

Realizing I wasn’t the only one facing this problem, I built a full interface, productionized the video generation process, and hosted it. After just 50 signups, blog2video got its first paid user—on the annual plan, no less. That’s how the whole journey began. Next, I’ll walk you through the all the major updates and what’s coming next.
