The landscape for AI is huge! It will change the way we live and take in information. It will change the way we live our day to day lives. For me nothing has changed the landscape like this since the world wide web was given to the public way back when. But it also comes with issues and concerns certainly from me. See the WWW and the modern technology we now use daily has changed the way we live but it also comes with its challenges and issues. It has been abused and is used to cause harm and create havoc with divide across the masses.

So one of the things I have seen recently whilst browsing Twitter is the latest implementation of ChatGPT and Whisper. A bot that listens in on interviews and gives answers back to questions that are given and prompts the user to certain things to say to any given scenario.

Now as a hiring manager I find this somehow a little disturbing. Allow me to paint a picture if you will, I'm hiring a senior developer and good salary to offer. We have a list of candidates and I interview one and give them a tech test.

Now they can use ChatGPT to do the test and create code they have never written and during the interview process I maybe able to work this out, but now with the Whisper app they can literally have the same thing that wrote the code give me answers to questions when Im trying to work out if they really knew what they were doing.

This concerns me somewhat and worries me that the people we are dealing with wont be able to handle the workload, the job and the pressure we put on them. Yet with the new AI tools people can apply and in someways get the jobs they are not qualified to do.

Am I being over cynical or am I write with my concerns?

Id love to know your thoughts
