I trade weather markets on Polymarket and was constantly switching tabs trying to find local time AND current weather for cities like Beijing, Buenos Aires and Dubai simultaneously. Nothing clean existed. So I built it myself.
Sunday 6:30pm — the idea
Zero web development experience. Just a genuine frustration and Claude as a coding partner. By midnight I had a live website at my own domain — weatherdesk.app.
What I built
A single page utility showing real-time local clocks and live weather for any city in the world simultaneously. Search any city, cards save automatically, refreshes every 5 minutes. Pure HTML/CSS/JS, hosted free on Cloudflare Pages.
48 hours later

Google indexed ✅
Appearing in Google AI overviews alongside AccuWeather and timeanddate.com ✅
121 real human visits with zero paid promotion ✅
Reddit post ranking #2 on Google's first page for target keyword ✅

The lesson
Build what YOU searched for and couldn't find. No market research, no business plan — just a genuine need nobody solved cleanly.
I also had no idea utility websites could be monetized with AdSense until the day I built this. That discovery alone changed everything.

What's next
Page 2 — interactive Polymarket ladder calculator
Page 3 — weather opportunity scanner
AdSense installed and waiting for traffic to grow
Total cost: $42 for the domain. Everything else free.
👉 weatherdesk.app
