Microsoft is recently doing a lot of... interesting stuff.
And i believe there's a reason it earned the "Microslop" nickname, with all that AI tracking, slowing computers with each upgrade, and hardware requirements that aren't actually needed.
A lot of stuff people don't need. And I would normally say "I" don't need, but every day I read dozens of complains about Windows 11, and other Microsoft products.
And I agree completely with whatever those comments say about it. Because in my life I never saw a good comment on Windows 11. I even saw on the "whatever-it-was" Windows 8!
That's because even a tablet OS on a PC is better than AI that noone uses.
I am pretty sure most users haven't even heard of Copilot.

Then there's junk. I don't play games, like I'm not a gamer.
But on my freshly installed PC, after connecting it to WiFi, I suddenly see after an hour 30gb worth of apps!
The thing is that I didn't see a notification pop-up. Not a prompt. Nothing.
Completely silent. A normal user won't notice because a normal user doesn't know that there are actual options of OS to choose from.
They just buy whatever PC is recommended or sponsored.

But are there even options? I am a Linux fan myself, and I am using it regularly, but a normal user doesn't want that.
Before you start spamming "LINUX MINT!!!", I would like to defend my opinion saying that Linux needs manual drivers sometimes. That bash can be scary. And the user wants comfort.
There aren't that many PCs with Linux preinstalled. If there are some.
But I am telling you, that those are for developers who need advanced tools for a good price.
Not for a normal user. Not a user that considers ChromeOS as an option.
I think there's no need to explain why ChromeOS sucks. I hope we all agree on that.

But what if switch to its competitor? Apple?
First con: the price.
Yeah sure, Macbook Neo is out for 500 bucks or something, but there isn't Microsoft 360 already there. It's another ecosystem. It's too much work.
Microsoft has occupied all the market. ALL of it.
Because it started back when no-one even knew what a window was. And that time was legendary.
It's 2026, and not knowing what Microsoft is is considered ignorancy.
So, they redeemed all the users.

And now they do whatever they want with them.
The part that really unsettles me is that people don't even know that.
