Email, banking, <br> communication apps, even simple interfaces become overwhelming.</p> <p>The result: losing access to systems that were central to their <br> daily lives, which further damages their independence and quality <br> of life.</p> <h1> The Idea </h1> <p>An adaptive software layer that sits on top of the applications <br> a person already uses. Using AI, the layer would progressively <br> simplify how those apps look and behave — based on the user's <br> current cognitive state, preferences, and needs.</p> <p>Not a new app to learn. Not a stripped-down "senior mode." <br> An intelligent mediation layer that evolves with the person.</p> <h1> Why This Is Technically Interesting </h1> <ul> <li>Adaptive UI driven by behavioral signals (not just static profiles)</li> <li>Balancing simplification with preserving user autonomy</li> <li>Privacy-first design — health data is extremely sensitive</li> <li>Integration challenges across different existing apps</li> </ul> <h1> Honest Disclaimer </h1> <p>I'm not a developer, and I'm not a neurologist or cognitive <br> researcher. I'm an idea person.
