Building Websites on a Phone as a Student

I'm a 16 year old student learning web development, and one challenge I've faced is not having a laptop yet. Instead of waiting for the perfect setup, I decided to start building with the device I already have: my phone.

Recently, I built and deployed a portfolio website called Emmy's Graphix using HTML and CSS. The project was created for a graphic designer and includes sections for services, portfolio, about, testimonials, and contact information.

Through this project, I learned a lot about:

Structuring web pages with HTML
Styling layouts with CSS
Responsive design for mobile devices
Using GitHub Pages to deploy websites
Debugging design and layout issues

One lesson I learned is that building projects teaches more than endlessly watching tutorials. Every bug, styling issue, and deployment problem became an opportunity to learn something new.

The website is still being improved, especially the portfolio section, but I'm proud of the progress and the experience gained from creating it.

As I continue learning, my goal is to keep building projects, improve my frontend development skills, and eventually explore more advanced technologies.

For anyone learning web development without access to expensive equipment, my advice is simple: start with what you have and keep building.
