When choosing a frontend framework, it's important to know what each one offers. Let's compare ReactJS and Svelte to see which might be best for your next project.

ReactJS
ReactJS, developed by Facebook, is known for building dynamic user interfaces with a component-based architecture.

Key Features:

Component-Based:
Promotes reusable and maintainable code.

Virtual DOM:
Enhances performance by efficiently updating the DOM.

Strong Ecosystem:
Extensive libraries and tools.
Active Community: Abundant resources and support.
ReactJS is great for complex, large-scale applications.

Svelte
Svelte is a newer framework that compiles your code at build time for highly optimized results.

Key Features:

No Virtual DOM:
Direct updates to the DOM for superior performance.

Reactive:
Simple and intuitive state management.

Smaller Bundles:
Produces fast, efficient code.

Easy to Learn:
Simple syntax and reactivity model.
Svelte excels in performance-critical applications and is easy to learn for new developers.

ReactJS vs. Svelte
Performance:

ReactJS: Efficient with Virtual DOM, but has some overhead.
Svelte: Better performance with direct DOM updates.

Learning Curve:
ReactJS: Requires understanding JSX and state management.
Svelte: Easier syntax and built-in reactivity.
Ecosystem:
ReactJS: Extensive and mature.
Svelte: Growing, but less mature.
Use Cases:
ReactJS: Ideal for large, complex projects.
Svelte: Perfect for performance-sensitive applications.

My Experience with HNG Internship programme with ReactJS:

As part of the HNG Internship, I'm thrilled to expand my knowledge of ReactJS. This program provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to work on real-world projects. I'm excited to utilize React's component-based architecture to build scalable applications and further develop my skills.

Learn more about the HNG premium at HNG Internship and HNG Hire.

Conclusion
Choosing between ReactJS and Svelte depends on your project's requirements. ReactJS is best for large, complex applications, while Svelte offers simplicity and high performance. Understanding these differences will help you make the right decision for your project.

Postman Futminna API Tour

My learning experience with Postman was awesome, and I learned a lot. The event was organized by @abdulkabirsultan, Postman student leader at the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMinna).

It was a two-day workshop. On the first day, we focused on Postman API fundamentals through the Postman Student Academy to earn Postman API Fundamentals Student Certification. We learned about API basics and how to interact with them using Postman. Topics covered included API requests, request parameters, sending data with POST, introduction to variables and scripting using JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), PATCH and DELETE methods, Postman's Codegen Feature, and at the end, we were given a Postman Student Expert badge. Throughout the workshop, we were guided by the Postman student leader, @abdulkabirsultan.

The second day (Day 2) involved project-based learning with the Theme: "Project-Based Learning: Build an AI Text Summarizer App" on the Postman Academy platform. We learned how to build a project (an AI text summarizer app) using Postman, Hugging Face, and Replit. It was a full-stack app where we used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, and for the backend (server side), we utilized Node.js and Express. We designed and built the app, which functions to summarize input text. We integrated Hugging Face API for the summarizing functionality, used Postman for API testing and other tasks, while Replit was used for coding.

My learning experience with Postman was awesome and fantastic. I learned a lot. Thanks to Postman, and

POSTMAN UNLEASHED: A Journey Through APIs and SDKs Mastery.

_I learned about APIs and many other things during an event organized by
Bamidele Shredrack Sunday.

I learned about Postman and APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), understanding how it works with Postman and serves as an intermediary between the client side and the server side. It also explained its relation to both frontend and backend. By Abdulkabir Sultan.

I also learned how to create an API and run it with Postman, including the process of creating a request, setting a method to post, inputting API endpoints, and sending sample data to test API functionality on Postman. By Prophet Bestman.

I also learnt about Blockchain and its integration with Postman. This included setting up a blockchain network using Ethereum, configuring nodes and smart contracts, using Postman for HTTP requests like configuring requests, querying blockchain data, sending transactions, and setting up authorization and headers for proper communication with blockchain nodes in Postman. By Abdul Samad Otaiki.

Further, I delved into Web3 analysis and its connection with Postman, understanding its workings. Web3 involves interaction with decentralized apps and blockchain networks. I explored using Postman to test decentralized identity systems and authentication mechanisms in web3 applications.

I also gained insights into SDKs (Software Development Kits) and how they work with Postman. I learned how to use and create SDKs with KONFIG and connect them to Postman. SDKs often come with Postman collections, pre-configured sets of API requests, serving as valuable companion tools for developers working with SDKs. By Nengak Wisdom.

API testing using Postman was another valuable lesson. It involves validating the functionality, performance
, and security of APIs. I also learned how to run tests on APIs using Postman. By Jerry Igbedion.

Lastly, I delved into understanding the types of APIs and their maturity levels. This knowledge helped to know how to design APIs for specific cases and ensuring effective communication between software components. By Abdul Malik._

My learning Experience with Postman API 101 Workshop
Recently i attended an API virtual event hosted by a postman student expert in Futminna.
The event was superb and detailed, from the very beginning, it was clear that APIs are more than just lines of code; they're the architects of modern connectivity, enabling apps to talk to each other effortlessly.

🔬 Unraveling API Fundamentals:
In the world of APIs, understanding the basics is like mastering the alphabet. The event sessions illuminated the core concepts, from HTTP requests and responses to endpoints and authentication. These fundamentals are the building blocks of every API-driven solution.

🌡️API Testing:
One of the most exhilarating revelations came with the exploration of Postman. This platform isn't just about making requests; it's a powerful toolkit for testing, automating, and ensuring the reliability of APIs. I realized that robust testing isn't just a checkbox; it's a critical component of delivering quality digital experiences.

🎨 Designing APIs for Humans:
APIs might be a technological marvel, but they're used by humans. This event underlined the importance of crafting APIs that are intuitive, well-documented, and aligned with best practices. It's not just about functionality; it's about creating delightful and user-friendly experiences.

🤝 The Spirit of Collaboration:
While APIs can feel like a solitary endeavor, the event emphasized the power of collaboration which has been made possible with less effort by Postman. The insights on version control, documentation, and working in teams highlighted that successful API development is a collective effort, where each piece plays a vital role in the puzzle.

🚀 Elevating My Development Journey:
As I reflect on the lessons learned at the #PostmanStudent event, I can't help but feel a surge of excitement. Armed with a deeper understanding of APIs, and uaung Postman I'm ready to embark on the next phase of my development journey.
