Your network, your networth

Think these words
Value
Collaboration
Mentoring
Creativity

The central thing is that these are all connected to something or someone and cannot be measured or achieved in isolation. While we have self-made mentors and coaches all over the internet, the ideal mentor or coach is to provide service or value to someone or a group of people looking to improve and become more valuable.

I think with being a developer, reaching out, and being in a community like DEV is an awesome opportunity to become better at what we do. Being a rookie and massively interested in how I can use code to make a difference in the lives of my clients, I would not want to learn to reinvent the wheel when someone else has already done that.

My being here has improved my self-taught developer journey a lot and I am grateful for all those who continue to create valuable content on this platform. I still work as a digital transformation business analyst and hope to grow into a solutions consultant in a few months.

You are the true valuable heroes, mentors, collaborators and coaches here!!
Keep on being the true helpers and just to let you know - your help is appreciated.
I am presently learning to react with a plan to add react-native to it after having breezed through javascript through a mentoring course.
A lot of times I still don't know what I am doing but have actually done some work and deployed some web sites/apps with backend API capabilities through MERN stack.
It's still daunting to me as I believe I really suck at writing code and tend to get worked up. However, that has improved with a lot of solutions to help clean up my code via some vscode extensions.
From my heart to yours, I appreciate you all.

You are my network and my networth - Welcome to October

The 'best' developers

While best is a relative word assuming a lot of parameters around the word , development work around a lot of variations of stakeholders will always bring a varied result of actions.
Three Scenarios
An ok full stack developer with a lot of experience and a heavy portfolio of successful valuable projects working with difficult stakeholders
A fairly average dev with less experience than the above working with great stakeholders whose expectations have been defined documented and agree.
A mix and match of everything else!!
There are good, great, and awesome developers. There are good, great, and awesome stakeholders. There are good, great, and awesome delivery teams. There are also horrible variations of the above.
Back to our best developer above - we find out that he is a result of the right connections, stakeholders, and teams. He does not necessarily set out to be a 'horrible' person but can be heavily influenced by the stimulus from a team or a stakeholder.
My point - best is a result of smart work, hard work and least luck. I have been in discovery meetings where I thought to myself 'Hmm, I need the money but this project may be as bad as hell", to cut the long story short - such projects have always been 'bad'
Don't get me wrong, people influence the outcome of projects - its not the tech stack or whatever its the people.
A connection of mine on linkedin once said "Software projects are 90% political and 10% work" and i agree.
Imagine you get a gig and the major stakeholder has a dislike for you after the project has been signed off -
So, to all the 'best' developers out there, appreciate what you have, continue to invest in your network and research how to communicate better.
It will give you peace of mind.
I am a newbie here and am totally rocking this community.
Looking forward to learning more

I come here once in a while but just signed up today. I am a business analyst with a side passion for all things code. Presently romancing with react.js and may dump my love for WordPress.
I am so living the way I can reuse components with a single line of code.
The downside at the moment is the capacity of react.js for SEO as i intend to introduce this to my client base.
Any tips will be appreciated

Bootstrap studio crash course

I have just purchased the bootstrap studio app and is presently looking to replicate the apple and tesla websites which in my opinion are awesome projects to pursue.
Thankfully bootstrap studio has done this and provided the code to make it repeatable and check my work.
I am a newbie to bootstrap and my HTML and CSS are mid-level, however i feel something is missing and want advise on how I can pursue this.
I am looking to partly dump WordPress and move on with bootstrap because of its capabilities for reusing code and making awesome changes effectively.

Any wise words will be appreciated

Hopefully you coding nerds can change my life through free learning and mentoring. I have always not had a love for coding but can get away from the results of coding.
So here i am looking for an easy way to become an expert..by following and becoming part of your forum
